Hello Paul , unfortunately we can not attach images here . If you type "Seiko QHL062Y alarm setting" into google or you tube , you will see videos on how to set it.

Q: I've worked out that you need a power supply to light the timer (top button works as start / stop) but what's the power supply tip size?

The lighting system works on battery or on DC power (as you want). Regarding the DC power, outside diameter 4mm / inside diameter 1.7mm.
