This review for old product, see below for 2018 Update...These used to be sold in a high-street chemist (pink bag with silver star logo); I'd bought them for years and was gutted when they stopped vending all of this QVS brand. I used various other brands/ types of files/ shapers which were at best inferior...took me a while to twig I might be able to buy these online! I feel like putting a poster up for others who may be missing QVS! These shapers are simply superb for me. As described, they're perfect for every-day use and especially if you have thin (natural) nails. They last an age and are easy to clean - just rinse under the tap, give it a good shake or pat dry with kitchen towel and leave it leaning upright to air-dry. They're well worth every penny so I've stocked up, I'll never be without them again! Cheers Amazon! :0)Update: Aug2018QVS have changed this product, and not for the better. When ordering again I DID notice the picture had changed, but wasn't fazed as I trusted the brand. That trust has now been dissolved.On the OLD ones, Medium side #320 grit - perfect for shaping, yet not rough at all. On the NEW ones the #320 is now labelled Fine, but is dog rough and makes a living mess of my thin nails. On the OLD ones, Fine side #400 grit - was very smooth, yet still very effective at finishing the medium side's work, finely, impeccably. The NEW ones #400 grit they call SuperFine now, yet it's quite the opposite. It's more rough than the Fine side and makes a worse mess. I've tried using these new ones the opposite way round, thinking maybe they made an error, in labelling/ classifying which side was which. As it is, they made an error in changing the product. For these new ones, zero stars. I cannot be the only one who feels this way, so thanks a bunch QVS, you took something that wasn't broke, and broke it. Well done...I find that these new ones are now Currently Unavailable - if that is because they had so many complaints they have withdrawn sales until they can change it back, then nobody will be happier than me to look again and find the old picture returned, when/ if they become available again. If however when I look again, if they are available, but the picture is the same (of these new ones), then I will continue to avoid like the Bubonic Plague. If I find myself happy once more, when the original product has been reinstated, I will amend this review.

I have very soft nails that like to split so need a gentle file to use and these are way better than any I found on the high street and good value. However they are still a little rough initially - hoping wear and tear takes them to the level I want.

Works well without being too rough and gritty

Really good value for money, I was happy that each file has four variants of filing, they are thin files so I find them very easy to use compared to the thicker ones as I have quite short nails. Seem to be pretty sturdy.

Arrived today. Packaging intact, no sign of being already opened & resealed. However, when I had a closer look at the files to start using them I realised both looked like they’d either been worn down or dirty on one side. Photo attached.

Nice and fine

Like the fine and superfine each side of the file. Highly recommend.
