Does it have lace? in their photos it looks like it does, but in the customer photos, it doesn't have it? hoping it doesn't! thanks!

what is the top square thing made out of? is it metal or PVC.. plastic? is it flimsy?

Is this white or is it cream colored ivory or beige? I don't want bright white?
