BGSD Men Carter 3-Button New Zealand Lambskin Leather Car Coat (Also available in Big and Tall and Short)

I purchased one of these in XL-Tall for my 6'3", 190 lb. hubby for Christmas.I confess I was a tad nervous about the fit but it fits him like it was made for him.I don't usually order items like this online, prefer to try things on in the store, etc.; especially when purchasing an expensive item.But I got such an amazing deal with my Amazon Prime discount that it was irresistible! Can we say better than 50% off?And the leather is so soft and nice...my hubby loves the 3 inner pockets - 2 on on side and 1 on the other. It's also lined with a thin, quilted & padded layer. It's not too heavy to work with a T-shirt in milder cool temps like the 40s. If he wears a sweater it would be great in colder weather.The tailoring is well fitted to a man who can use a bit of help accentuating his waistline...makes him look slimmer.Even if I had to pay full price for this coat I'd still consider it money well spent!

Coat fit as expected. Very warm despite the lightweight insulation. This coat nicely handles the midwestern cold--warmth without bulk, even when temps are in single digits. Styling is great. I am 5'9", 190 and wear a 16-16.5"/34 shirt, 44 either short or regular in a sport coat, 33" waist, and this coat fits very well. Very comfortable through the chest/shoulders. 2 interior pockets on the left side, 1 on the right will hold your phone and/or various papers. The lower left interior pocket comfortably holds my iPhone 4S, but not sure if it would hold the 6. My only complaint might be that it seems just a bit long, but then again, I'm not that tall!

I purchased this jacket this past summer but wore it for the first time in my recent trip to NYC. The jacket looks elegant and fits well at the shoulder and arms; it is not "slim fit" at the waist and there is some room there but this is not noticeable in the winter when you wear layers. I purchased a large and I am 5'8" and typically wear large shorts (16 collar; 34-35 in shirt length). The jacket ends between my knees and hips where I exactly wanted it to end.I received many compliments on the jacket and it looks natural in NYC. There is a non removable inner liner but it was perfect for temps in the 30-50s. I was able to wear this coat over my suits without problems and it is long enough to cover the length of the blazer. I have looked around for awhile for this type of jacket (simple, elegant, long enough to mid-thigh) and have seen many other leather jackets at higher prices. I am considering purchasing other jackets from this vendor.

I bought this coat(XXL) for my husband(6' tall, over 200lb) around Christmas time. The quality is very good, however, the cut design is not good on my husband because my husband is a big guy and has bigger belly. So I contacted seller for exchange to a diffent coat which has 4 buttons in the front(also XXL, pricing at $169.99 which is cheaper). It turns out the second one fits my husband very well because of different cut design, but I can tell the leather is not as good as the first one(maybe that is why the second one is cheaper). My husband like it well which gives me a release, because I hate returns. The seller is very comfortable to deal with. Both shipments are fast and taken care of well.

Shipped promptly and showed up as promised in 1 week. Package was a bit roughed up, but the contents were safe and well packed. Now, about those contents...My initial impressions are as follows: - The leather is of superior quality. - The buttons are good enough; they may be upgraded if they come loose, but they're fine at the moment. - The quilted lining is fantastic (but also make this a coat, not a jacket). - There was a loop for (I think) headphone cable management which pulled right out of the seam it was tucked in. Oops.Fit: I'm 5'10" and scrawny; the Medium-sized coat is snug in some spots (shoulders and arms) and loose in others (gut) but the overall fit pleases me. Most critically, it doesn't bell out in the gut when my arms are down by my sides.I'll update my review if some astonishing mediocrity drops my opinion below 4 stars, but my first impression of the product is Quite Delighted.

The jacket is gorgeous. However it is VERY VERY fragile. The slightest pressure causes a tear and it's not very high quality leather. My first tear was when it barely caught in the buckle as I was securing my seat belt. It was obviously not an aggressive or forceful action, but it split the leather like butter. The second time it was caught under my center console lid. It wasn't near the latch, but just the corner of the jacket compressed under the lid. It tore as soon as I turned my body to use a drive-up ATM. I absolutely love the aesthetic, but it's frailty makes it a painful regret.

I've had this jacket for five years. The leather is of excellent quality, and it fit well. Lining makes it good for cool weather, but not too bulky. My main problem is the buttons and lining are of poor quality. I had to reattach the buttons within six months, and the lining started to fray with holes developing in the vest pockets within a year.

"Carter" BGSD .Looks good but you can push holes with your fingers in this thin leather and it rips like paper. For two hundred I would rather buy fake leather instead which will last much longer and repel water. Not happy with this product . It looks terrible after few days of use.3 stars for good looks . Disposable leather car coat....... .
