"We don’t seek to make the world better. We seek to make it ours."
This is the first book that I read written by Lauren Asher and I definitely don't regret picking it up! I have to admit that Lauren has quickly become one of my comfort authors. The grump-sunshine trope has become one of my favourite and this book excelled in it! I wish I could give it more than five stars. Rowan and Zahra's chemistry was sorching and undeniable. They were simply perfect together."She shines so brightly that everything else pales in comparison. I feel helplessly trapped in her magnetic field, so close to the sun I might burst into flames."Zahra Gulian is sunshine personified. She was funny, happy go lucky, carefree, selfless, humble, optimistic, strong willed and enthusiastic. She didn't let her past with her ex defer her or put her down. Instead she decided to live her life to the fullest and that's what I loved the most about her. She didn't let one incident define her personality and tried to keep other people around her happy. With her obsession with books and tv shows, she became even more relatable to me."Rowan is like a secret code I want to crack—a human Fort Knox I’m interested in breaking into, if only to uncover a vaulted heart full of gold."Rowan Kane was the complete contrast compared to Zahra's vibrant personality. He was grumpy, reserved, broken, arrogant, curt, cynical and oblivious but had a heart of gold hidden inside. For years, he thought he was selfish but after meeting Zahra, he slowly let his guard down. No one could understand him better than Zahra did. He was closed off but it was because of a reason and when it was explained, I could really understand him and his pov."I’ll never stop being greedy when it comes to Zahra. She will always be the exception to any rule and the one person I’m willing to screw the world over for. Because if she’s not happy, I’ll ruin whatever stole her smile, myself included."Rowan & Zahra were like yin and yang. One could not simply exist without the other. I really enjoyed the pace of the story. The way Rowan slowly but gradually started to understand the depth of his feelings for Zahra was portrayed beautifully. His not so subtle but little gestures towards her warmed my heart. When he smiled just for her and the kind of person he became with her (in private) was adorable. Rowan's relationship with Zahra's sister Ani was what made me love him to the fullest. What I liked the most about the characters was that they both had depth. One simply chose to hide the pain beneath a bubbly facade and one wore his indifference on his sleeve."There’s no other word to describe the way he worships me. I feel like I’m laid on an altar, with Rowan showering me with his devotion."The book made me cry and laugh a lot. It was full of angst, tension, a bit of drama, funny and entertaining banter and a chemistry full of passion. I devoured the book in one sitting! The writing was fabulous and kept me hooked. Also, the descriptions of dreamland felt realistic and I could envision the setting clearly. It is definitely one of my favourite reads from this year. The side characters were perfect and I'm so excited for the upcoming books in the series. However, the one couple I look forward to the most is Declan & Iris. (hopefully she is his fc) Anyways, the book was absolute PERFECTION and I can't wait to read more from this word!

The Kane Brothers are ✨✨
Oh my God, what a rollercoaster this was.I'm not okay. My emotions are all over the place.I fell in love with Zahra on the very first page. Her personality was *chef's kiss* I loved how there were mentions of special children and the problems common people have to face due to the greed of the rich. I felt so much reading this book. Every time Zahra was hurt or going through something my stomach was in knots and I had to stop reading just to take a breath. I felt like I was Zahra.Rowan, Rowan, Rowan, he is one fine man. But tbh I didn't really like him, much less prefer to read about him in the beginning but he slowly grew on me. I loved the character development, for both of them, it was really good. The way Zahra stood up for herself at the end was everything. Also, you could see the gradual development in Rowan, it wasn't sudden it was slow it took time but that is life, you cant change overnight and that was something I loved! Also, why can't I get men who create random people just to talk to me?I loved Zahra, I loved Rowan. I even loved Declan and Iris (I can't wait to read their book after writing this review!!) But my favourite was CAL. Hahaha, I love that guy! No one can tell me otherwise! Ah and also Ani, she is such a sweetheart! <3Definitely recommend this book!

Amazing book... I love it.
Rowan and zahra.... They are just amazing couple. I love this series and am waiting for the last book of the series to come. This book took me to the imaginary but perfect world of fairies, princesses and lots of rides. I love this part a lot. Zahra with all her pins is a very interesting character. Rowan is a soft emotional one under the layers of a hard and selfish personality. Their chemistry is adorable. I 'll definitely recommend this book to romance lovers who love reading gut wrenching romances.

(Only reducing 1 star coz of this)Anyhow, i gave this a read and have to say, I had a smile throughout the whole book.Rowan was such an adorable guy hiding behind that grumpy exterior. Zahara was just sunshine personified. I loved her personality so so much!I didn't want to finish reading this book at all but read through this Nonstop in 4-5 hours. SPOILER ALERT!
This book had me screaming at the pages! The way the relationship between Rowan and Zahra develops was so well written, each time it came to them breaking up I just knew Rowan was going to mess up again but I looked forward to it because I knew the make up was going to be that much better! I was knocking on jealousy's door during this entire read, the way the Rowan was absolute putty in Zahra's hand, the love, care and concern he had for her was soul crushingly beautiful and I won't lie I had some serious readers blues when I finished this book.

It's disneyland style theme park was so charming it had me wishing I was there. The way Lauren describes everything is perfection! It is an easy read that will leave you wanting more. This book is so beautifully written, you really engage with the characters. I adored Zahra, she is a creative, bubbly, happy ray of sunshine who is passionate about her job and Rowan I fell head over heels in love with him, he will always have a soft spot in my heart, the reason he doesn't trust and doesn't let people in is heartbreaking. He came across as cold and bad tempered when in reality he was so far removed from that. I loved the chemistry between Zahra & Rowan, it was sizzling throughout, and I was left swooning over Rowan every single time. One of the other relationships which made me melt was Rowan’s friendship with Zahra’s sister Ani, who is diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. They have such a beautiful relationship and their interactions always made me smile. The fine print is a book I will definitely recommend and I can't wait to read more from this series.

Hyped for a reason!
The Fine Print is hyped for a reason. Angsty romance with backstories to match. Lauren Asher expertly handles a diverse range of characters, decisions and reactions to pull at her readers weakened heartstrings. The Fine Print is a romance book that I’ve seen everywhere…it’s hugely hyped both on bookstagram and booktok. Now, usually I don’t really follow overly popularised novels, but something made me want to try this one, again, it’s hard to pinpoint what that was exactly but I am glad I did. An overly cheery FMC, Zarah, with her interesting cultural heritage. I was happy to see the relationship with more than just the usual two white characters. MMC was the typical grumpy billionaire who ends up getting bowled over by the Zarah’s kindness and charitable acts. The story is based predominantly in Dreamland, imagine a Disney like theme park in Florida. Rowan’s grandfather has passed away after a catastrophic accident that landed him in a coma, the end result was fatal. Now, he has amassed an astronomical fortune due to Dreamland and wants to pass the reigns over to his grandsons. But there’s a catch. Each grandson has a task he needs to complete before being awarded his shares of the company. Rowan has the task of developing Dreamland further- something to celebrate his grandfather’s legacy. It has to be approved by a board of voters. His grandfather had a soft spot for Rowan, he was after all, like him – creative. Something that has dwindled after the abusive mocking from his father all of his life.Zahra initially works at Dreamland in the salon. Although she loves interacting with the children and their parents she strives for more. She has the longing to become a creator. She worked on the famous Nebula Land with Rowans grandfather – they developed a lovely relationship together; he could see her potential. But her designs were stolen from her by her ex-boyfriend and submitted as his own and to just stick the knife in deeper he cheated on her – she witnessed it with her own eyes. After professing this in a drunk email – Rowan offers her a position as creator and the rollercoaster only begins there. The Fine Print has great disability representation. Zahra has a younger sister with Downs Syndrome and the character is portrayed beautifully. Ari is sassy, confident and knows what she wants from life. She just wants what everyone else has – love, a social life, and opportunities. There is also references to wheelchair users and autistic children. Its one of very few books where the representation of disabled characters is honest without it being patronising and focussing on everything they can’t achieve.I am an absolute sucker for these types of romance stories. I love a bit of horror but sometimes you just have to break up all that death and depression with a little bit of sunshine, right? Oh, and drama, lots, and lots of drama.

Well, he doesn’t work there, he belongs to the family who owns it. Dreamland is a fairytale filled with theme rides, hotels, amazing cast members and the best restaurants and chefs money could buy. Except for him, it’s a nightmare and a reminder of a dark moment in his life. Now that his grandfather has passed on, in order to claim his inheritance and take on the company, he must fulfill a task as instructed in a letter. He needs to be the director of the park for six months, and make it better. But, when he hires Zahra, things start to spiral out of control. He can’t stay away from her, and after accidentally kissing her when she isn’t intimidated by him, all bets are off. She’s under his skin and he isn’t sure if he wants her out.Zahra is a dreamland prodigy. Her entire family worked there and it made sense for her to take up employment at the theme park too. But when an ex took her ideas for a new section of the park, changed a few things and submitted it before cheating on her, she regales herself to working in a hair salon. That is until she drunkenly submits a creative idea that instead bashes the very ride her ex created. She is called into Rowan’s office and offered a promotion to “creator”, something she always dreamed of. Suddenly finding herself working with the most overbearing boss ever, she realizes that she can’t get him out of her head, and wants to uncover everything that makes him tick.I did not want to read this book. I kept seeing it all over TikTok and Instagram, but it never appealed to me. I’m not sure what about it caused me to want nothing to do with it, but It didn’t seem like something I would enjoy. Maybe it was simply bad marketing on the posts I was seeing because… WOW.This book was honestly such a great read. I don’t tend to reach much Contemporary Romance as I lean to Fantasy, but this one really takes the cake. I love the way the characters meet and how the book almost instantly establishes the personality of the main couple. Rowan is a grump who keeps people at a distance, whereas Zahra is a sunshine who makes a bitter old man smile and eat out of her hand with an offer of cookies. They are total opposites and boy do they attract.I like the way the book gives us banter between the two of them, and even between Rowan and Zahra’s sister, Ani. I had so many moments of actually laughing out loud at the verbal sparring between the cast of characters. Banter is my weakness.Zahra is also such a powerhouse. She is strong, confident and such a kind person that it actually had me believing in humanity again…. Over a fictional character. I do like the way that she isn’t one dimensional though, the author gives us a backstory and nods to dark moments in her life and how she came out of them. It fleshed out her character so much that I felt like I was reading someone I could know in the world. She is sunshine, but she isn’t all sunshine, and that was so refreshing.I hope the next books are this good cause I already got them!

A Wonderful Surprise...
I was nervous going into this story. I’d read a review that was not very kind, but my curiosity got the best of me, and I’m thankful I didn’t let that review stop me from reading a wonderful book. The way Rowan and Zahra interacted from the start was captivating, to say the least. She was a ray of sunlight to his dark storm cloud and was just what he needed to find a sliver of happiness after his dad wreaked havoc on his life.Their love story was so sweet, and I enjoyed how Zahra slowly showed Rowan he wasn’t all the things he’d been told his whole life. She made him see he was worthy of enjoying life outside of work. He could do the things he love and still be successful, just like his grandfather always told him. He spent so much time living for Zahra’s smiles and laughs, which only led him to find his own.The inclusion and diversity were so refreshing. From physical disabilities to mental disabilities, Asher seamlessly included others who face more challenges than others, and it was beautiful. From cultural diversity to including bodies outside of what’s usually considered beautiful in some people’s warped opinions was lovely, and it was done with such thought that made it all seem so real. The side characters were amazing, and Ani and her witty snark had me laughing and swooning at the same time. I enjoyed seeing little bits of his brothers and grandfather, even after he passed away. Brady and Rowan’s mother could be felt throughout the story even though they were no longer with Rowan, which I found to be very special. I also accidentally read this out of order (reading it first instead of last), and it did not hurt the storyline at all.Overall, I adored this book and highly recommend reading it.
