Great Foldable Keyboard
I had ordered the Protoarc XK04 to replace my Samsung Trio 500 keyboard, which I mainly use with the tablet but occasionally use in my office setup, however it was too small. This keyboard seemed the next logical step up as I didn't really need a trackpad. I wanted a small, foldable keyboard to use on the go as part of my editing flow as well as part of my office setup, and while this is longer that the Trio 500 it is more compact once folded. Clearing up desk space when not being used.I am really impressed with the quality and feel of this keyboard, the keys feel sturdy and the feedback while typing is good. Pairing to 3 devices was a a simple affair, battery life is excellent and it's compatible with windows laptop, Samsung Tablet and iPad Mini. Depending on which device is connected you have keys for both Windows and MAC/iOS. An added bonus is having screen capture, device lock and settings keys on the number pad. Simple things but pleasing. Downside is it doesn't have an on/off switch however when you fold it, it does switch off. I assume that if you leave it open and not connected to a device it powers itself down but I wasn't able to find anything in the manual or support if that is indeed the case.I have been using this keyboard for awhile now and love it. Great for just putting in the bag and taking it with you on your travels and works well in an office setup.

XK01 Superb quality full-size keys. Uniform weight and action across the board.
I particularly appreciate the full-sized keys. Square and regular with rounded corners. Just what you would expect as a modern-day computer user. I don't much fancy the recent circular keys manufactures are going with - We aren't using mechanical typewriters anymore :)Every key responds with the same predictable pressure and travel. Larger keys respond equally well wherever they are pressed. The keyboard is as loud or as quiet as you want it to be. Just pace yourself on that. The layout for a UK QWERTY keyboard is about as generic and usual as you could wish. And that is a WONDERFUL thing. Everything (within reason) is where you would expect it to be.This is a folding keyboard for portability. I can see the benefit of this immediately. I can see how wonderfully it folds down for convenient storage and travel. But you know what? I will be using this permanently as my desktop keyboard - I just hate typing on laptop keyboard because that means I can't have the laptop screen equidistant to second screen. The XK01 is engineered and constructed extremely well. When you have one, just see how little, if any wiggle occurs across the axis of the hinges. The Bluetooth pairing and switching between 3 host devices is marvellous and works flawlessly. I can be typing in Word on Windows one moment, press Bluetooth2 button, and be typing into my shopping list on my Android pone in under 5 seconds. Flawless. I have used a lot of keyboards in 35 years of coding and engineering. This keyboard is a quality thing. And you know what? I got it with an online Amazon discount code as well!.

Really close to 5 stars; well worth considering
So this just arrived today and so of course I had to take it for a spin. I have more than a few portable keyboards, but only one that folds, and that one turned out to be a disappointment, so I was really looking forward to trying a full-size folder where all the keys are full sized. There are just a few nits (that may just be my preferences) that keep me from giving it 5 stars, but I have to say that overall I quite like this keyboard.I have some sympathy for the reviews that mentioned the keyboard not being angled at all-- I found myself happier if I slid magazine or something under the top edge to give it a low angle. But the keyboard is still quite usable flat on the desktop. One thing that really is improved by a slight angle is that there is a raised edge just below the space bar. This edge runs along the entire bottom of the keyboard, but is lower around the spacebar than on either side of it. When the keyboard is flat on the desk even this low edge can be noticed, but with a slight angle I no longer notice it. It occasionally results in a missed space while typing, so you may want to do something to give a slight angle as I found that made missing the space a lot harder. The keys are generally firmer than most of my other portable keyboards; they need a good press, and I have to wonder if that will result in fatigue eventually. In the short term, I find this property is actually helping with my typing accuracy, and again is improved if I give the keyboard a slight angle. There are dedicated keys for screenshots, OS settings, and lockscreen, which I find to be nice touches, but I have to say I've mashed the screenshot button accidentally a few times already when reaching for the backspace key. The screenshot function can be deactivated with esc, so it isn't a big deal, but it has happened twice so far. Hopefully it won't become a nuisance.I'm finding that I'm wishing for a wider left shift key. They do have a 3/4 sized keycap for the #~ key, and I kind of wish that were also the same for the \| key, which would allow the left shift to be a bit wider. I'm finding myself hitting that key sometimes when I want the shift, and that's a small irritation. But those complaints are overshadowed by the fact that all the rest of the keys are full size, and there is no interfering ridge around the seam where the keyboard folds. It's a worthwhile trade in my book for these small flaws (that could be found on some regular UK keyboards) for one that's portable.Connecting was simple and followed the instructions accurately. You almost don't need the manual, as it follows a common short press/long press semantic that lots of other devices do.Finally, folding/unfolding: the keyboard folds nicely into a reasonable protected package, but it might be nice to have an aluminum bodied option if you carry bag isn't the most friendly to devices. I'm not saying it's fragile, but you don't get an excessive sense of sturdiness, and the case can flex a bit when closed, so I do hope that life in my bag isn't too rough. The magnets that hold the keyboard closed are strong enough that accidental opening isn't likely in most situations, which should protect both the keys and keep power from coming on when it isn't needed. When opened, you should expect to place this on a solid surface: as others have mentioned, it doesn't work well laps. But overall I'm quite happy with this keyboard as it seems to provide one of the best portable options I've come across. It's not without its faults, but many can be overcome with bit of elevation. If I was to ask for changes, I'd want a wider left shift, swapping the screenshot and delete keys, a bit of a tilt to avoid missing the spacebar (or a lower edge along the space bar), an option for a more rugged body, and red backlights for the keys. But none of these will be keeping from making this my primary portable keyboard.
