World book day

I ordered this for my tall 5yo daughter (in 7-8 clothes) and it was a good 25cm too long.....so while she was able wear it with a few sewing hacks, she wasn't comfortable. Its not size 5-7 as advertised...definitely bigger

Got a size 5 to 7. It is quite long and my 6 year old is not short for her age, so you might need to take it up a bit. The material is thin and see through so top underneath will be required. But you get what you pay for and it is fit for purpose.

About the quality I would expect for the price! Bought the medium size for my 4.5 year old granddaughter who is tall for her age and solidly built. Generous fit, but as elasticated it looks fine. It was, however, a good 12" too long and, as mentioned by previous purchasers, the net overlay is uneven, but will need to cut it off anyway. The cape element is very skimpy and just hangs down the back as there is really not enough material to go around shoulders. Have now ordered the large size for her 7 year old sister as it seems whole school is having a themed Little Red Riding Hood day, not just the Reception Class. With 4 days notice, although this 1st one came in 3, couldn't chance it again, so ended up paying fast rate postage!!! Probably the medium would have fitted her too, but, again, couldn't chance it!

Decent quality for the money, but as other reviewers said, the sizing is completely off! I ordered a 5-7 for my nearly ten year old and it's almost too long for her. Totally ridiculous. Also to note, you can see this in the illustration but I didn't realise the cape was so narrow. It only goes across the back and is not wide enough to sit over the shoulders.

Originally bought an age 5-7yrs for our almost 6 year old daughter to wear on World Book day but had to return it as way way too big for her. Ordered an age 3-4 which fits fine but has arrived with a rip in the sleeve. Far too late to return before world book day tomorrow so going to have to just sow it tonight. Disappointed but the costume does look cute on our daughter and she seems happy with it.
