Q: Which model of replacement brushes does it use?

All Phillips Sonicare brushes are compatible. Some do not enable the brush head replacement feature. Brushes enabling the replacement reminder have a symbol with two arcs and a small circle, similar to a wifi symbol, on the brush. All OEM (Phillips) brushes offered now seem to have this. Aftermarket (third party manufacturers) may not.

Q: what model actually is this as it is not diamondclean?

It is not a DiamondClean. This is a bait and switch scheme. The actual product is a Philips 4100, which lists for less than $50 on the Philips web site. Don't get scammed like I did.

Q: where do you turn on or off?

On the handle there are two buttons. The top button turns on or off your toothbrush. After two minutes it turns off on its own.
