Red Ball Rope Hold not installed
Now did not come installed with the red ball rope holder system and no explanation in manuals on how to install. Trying to find out how so I don’t damage the bow trying on my own. I’ll remove this review if someone from Barnett contacts me for support. Thanks!

Powerful, well built, super accurate bow
Very impressed. Shoots dead-on accurate. My first 3 shots within 2” square at 20 yards before minor sighting adjustments. My only complaint is that i regret getting the crank cocking version. Having the sled instead of hooks it’s a bit tricky to unspool over the scope since the ccd version has an added permanent rope hold (see pic). They probably added this so first time shooters cannot try cocking the bow improperly. It does come with the parts to convert to rope cocking version though. I’m going to replace with included roller ball rope hold to see if it unspools easier putting sled in place first then pull rope back to hold. Will buy the rope to compare. Overall i highly recommend, but save yourself the $100 and get rope version!

Bad string
Do not buy this unless you plan on replacing a string soon as well as having issues with your crank if you get one with it.

Awesome crossbow for the price.
Pros...Compact and powerful and deadly accurate. Cons.. ccd device is a pain and the crank handle hits arrows mounded in the quiver. Besides the crank design Barrnett has hit the nail on the head with this crossbow.
