Does an excellent job
These are a very good replacement for the plastic extruders that ship with so many 3D printers. They're especially well suited for the ANet ET and A8 [plus] 3D printers after you cut down the lever with a hacksaw. Too bad they aren't available any more.

Nice robust replacement but needed some work.
Nice replacement part but had to file down the pin head part on the bottom side next to the bearing arm. If I tightened it down so that it felt tight the arm would stick from to much pressure because of not enough clearance from the pin shaft being to short. Had to chuck it up in a drill and file the bottom of the head off and trial fit till it worked. A little grease on it helped too.

Breathtakingly reliable.
I have installed three of these in various printers and have not had any extrusion problems over the long run. The best thing about this extruder is that it is not adjustable. Thank God. The spring included exactly creates the right clamping force so you don't have fiddle with tweaking some screw. I know this is not good news for some of you who enjoy tinkering. I just want the thing to work reliably. And it does.

Waste of money
This thing is a waste of money. All it does is skip for me and it drives me nuts. I bought this to replace the injection moulded parts and I've just had no luck with it. Listening to this thing skip is beyond annoying. Between under extrusion or none at all due to the skipping all my prints have been trash. Do yourself a favor and buy the bondtech extruder assembly. I'll be doing so very soon.

Never got filament to extrude
Bought this because it said there was a tension adjustment. There's not. I was just trying to get the printer to work for a couple of days until I could get a Bondtech in. Didn't work at all. No tension adjustment possible loosening or tightening any screws on the assembly. Not worth the trouble to return it. I'll just turn the printer off until Tuesday.

Quality Control Issues
The all-metal is appreciated, but be prepared to make your own modifications. The included toothed gear didn't fit over the driveshaft, so I had to salvage my old one. The spring is also rather weak, meaning that the extruder can't grip the filament properly. I had to replace that too, by hacking away at another spring I had lying around until it would fit in the mounting area. Lost so much filament trying to figure out why I was having under-extrusion.
