Great for outdoors/quieter areas, not for loud gyms
For the price, these are great headphones depending on where you use them. I've been looking for a comfortable and affordable set of running headphones in this style and they're very light, sturdy enough (they're a little cheap but fit the price/value), and they sound pretty solid. Here's the caveat you should be aware of:These are fantastic IF you're an outdoor runner/hiker in relatively quiet areas. They're NOT good though for use in your average gym setting or loud urban areas. The reason for this is they don't isolate/insulate ANY external sounds. I used these at my local LA Fitness the other day and I could hear every single sound (weights, treadmills, talking, other music) making it hard to focus on what I was listening to. If this doesn't bother you, that's great, but for me I won't be using them at the gym again. That said, these are such a good value for what you get and these are really good for your average runner or hiker out in nature, and you can't knock these given the value proposition. I don't think there's any other pair of headphones like these and these are a great supplement to having a pair of more noise isolating headphones. Keep in mind where you'll be using these but overall, these are an excellent value.

Decent quality at a reasonable price. Great for indoors. A bit less so for outdoors.
I was hoping to use these as a good way to be able to run while listening to music and also to hear some of the noise around me. They fit fine, connected up to either my phone (LG V60) or my Garmin Forerunner 255 Music without issue. And they play music ok with a reasonable sound quality (not that sound quality matters a ton while running outdoors). These work by positioning a speaker really close to your ear without covering up your ear so you can hear things around you. Allows you to hear things around you and hear your music at the same time. However, when compared to bone conduction earphones which were the alternative I was trying to compare against, these seem to maybe even amplify wind noise; to the point where if the there's a fairly strong gust, you won't hear anything but the wind, even with the music cranked way up. I didn't have as much of an issue with wind noise bone conduction earphones so I'll be sticking with those. That said, they work fine otherwise. Great indoors. Just not so well outdoors on windy days.

These work exactly as advertised!
I bought these headphones about 3 months ago, since then I have bought 4 different sets of these same headphones, 2 for me, 1 for the wife, and 1 for my mom. They all love them.Open ear is great for wearing for long periods of time, volume is decent and base heavy because these are NOT bone conduction headphones, basically a small speaker fires the sound directly into your ear from the outside, but can still hold a conversation because they don't isolate the outside sounds. Nice and comfortable because the battery life is ~17 hours, which is extremely helpful during my 12 hour shifts. Literally never have to take them off.Which I THOUGHT was the case when I wore them to the water park, these are NOT that waterproof, they WILL NOT turn back on after submerging in a pool setting, but perfect for sweating during a workout or at work.I happily bought another pair for myself when the last ones ceased to work though, would definately recommend these.

Great sound quality, mediocre waterproofing
I’ve worn this thing for more than two years. Still sounds great, better than my Aftershokz. However, I’ve also attempted to wear this thing through Crossfit workouts and runs, and I’ve given up on it to get Aftershokz after a month. Two reasons: sweat blocks the speakers, and you hear nothing (it still works) until you blow the sweat out, to which it happens again anyway. Next, not as secure a fit during double unders or any jumping and it flies off eventually. Overall, best for use as a purely non-active, casual pair of headphones, but not for workouts.

Lasted only 2 months
I had a good experience with its cousin - Truefree open ear one. So when these came out, it was no-brainer for me because they are around $20. I didn't use it for a month after the intiial testing as my Trufree was still working. These are nicely built, comfort to wear and bass in these were amazing for the price. But then, when I tried it for the 2nd time, I felt like the battery lasted much shorter than I expected but I thought I had forgot to recharge or something and didn't take it seriously. Also the return date already passed. And now, after lightly used for 6 months, after fully charged, the percentage of battery is like 87%. I checked both on phone & laptop. I can't do anything about it as the return date passed.I'm wondering if these were just testing product before launching RunFree, the pricier version, because these are already not available. Very disappointing SoundPeats.

You get what you pay for
Compared this with an AftershokzPros:Pros:Sounds is really good.App has a great "adaptive EQ" to tweak the sound.Long battery life.Doesn't vibrate your temples like the Aftershokz at high volume.Cons:The curvy piece that goes over the ear is not flexible. It makes it a bit of a hassle to put on and allows minimal fit adjustment after you get it on.The back piece that wraps around your head is short and not ideal for larger heads. I'm still testing to see how long I can wear these comfortably. The Aftershokz were much easier to put on a fit like a glove. The app needs GPS location and nearby device permissions on to work, there's literally no legit reason for GPS permissions for a headset. How do I know? Its a music app, android is smart enough to connect just with Bluetooth on like any other headset or wireless speaker.Read the privacy policy before you install the app.If you're okay with these negatives it does save you about $100 off the real thing (Aftershokz).
