I have not a lot of experience. I’ve planted in the late spring, early summer. I usually Google when I’m not sure. Take in consideration you’re planting zone also. Best of luck.

Q: how big does the plants grow?

Save your money.. go to the store veggie section and buy taro root.. 1.29 a pound... that's what this is. They advertise it to be giant, and it is not. Normally I buy mine at Walmart, (I was too late this year so I tried this) they're the size of a Cantelope. These are the size of a peach, and I am being very generous. But to answer your question, the leaves to this plant are about the size of a dinner plate on the small side, and about a foot and a half to 2 feet tall (the entire plant)
