Actually works pretty decently
So first of all, it has high and low, both are decently quick and don't get too hot. Only issue I have is that the bottom part is a little short. It only covers about 2/3 of the seat, so you feel the edge of it on your legs a little bit. I'll still give it 5 stars tho, because it works fast, has a good temperature, and hasn't popped any fuses or anything.

A must have
I drive an ‘02 ranger in Montana so needless to say heated seats have always been a desire for me. This little thang is the bomb, keeps me toasty warm and works well enough that it calms cramps as well when I have ‘em. It’s super easy to remove so I put it in my work truck during the week too. I’ve had it a while now and it’s amazing!

Cycles
The high mode gets nice and warm, perfect when my back is acting up. However, and this may be due to my car, the heat (either mode) cycles on/off. I'll get just to the point of starting to relax, and then it shuts off. Back N forth the whole drive. I can honestly say that I didn't read the whole description, so this may be an expected act or could be due to a power issue with the lighter port. Beats me. I still like it though. It's fairly thin, so it doesn't add any extra height to my seat. And does get very comfortably hot.

Low Cost Upgrade for Cars Without Factory Option
A few months ago, my Smart Fortwo (tiny German two-seater) had a severe engine problem, and I had to leave the car at a shop for a couple of months for an engine rebuild. In the meantime, I bought a 2014 Honda Insight Hybrid for a fantastic price - the EX model, with all of the bells and whistles - remote starter, bluetooth, leather, etc. The one feature I really missed from the Smart Fortwo was its heated seats - it really came in handy in the Winter - so much so, that I eventually preferred the seat heater to the cabin heater. So, when it started to get cold, I stumbled across a heated seat cushion at Bed Bath and Beyond, but it was black - I wanted gray to match the gray interior of the Insight. So I turned to Amazon and found this. Not only is this seat heater quite excellent at warming the tush, it has extra lumbar support which the Insight is lacking. I'm not sure what the concern about leaving the heater plugged in is - the Insight does cut power to the lighter socket when you remove the key, as I suspect most modern cars do, but it also has an "off" switch, so that if you leave it plugged in, you don't have to worry if you remember to switch it off, which is not diffcult for me, because even at the lowest setting, it gets too hot to leave on all of the time.Pros:• Very warm on the "low" setting• Gray color matches exactly the gray interior of my car• Lumbar cushion is just the right thickness for my car• Very affordableCons:• Straps are bit flimsy• Cable ties or mini bungee cords (this is what I used) are neccessary to fasten the bottom loops to the seat• Power cable isn't quite long enough to lie flat on the floor, so it sort of "floats" a bit

Heats but does NOT Stay in Place Well
I have only had this a couple of weeks and so far, it works as needed for heating the seat. I would say the heat is not as dramatic and fast as my factory heated seats in another vehicle, however those factory seats are leather and this cover is velour, and of course this cover is a fraction of the cost. Incidentally I put this in a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with high back Velour bucket seats. Those seats are grey and I also picked this cover because most everything else I saw for heated cushions are black. However, I can't give it 5 stars because it does not stay in place well and consider this due primarily to design. I do like the velour material as it is comfortable. As many have complained, the straps and "hooks" for the lower seat portion are way too short, straps way to small in width, and the hooks I put in quotes because they are tiny little thin plastic hooks, so cheap they would be like something you would see on disposable packaging or the kind you might see on a pair of gloves. I did buy some small bungee cords to help secure them but haven't installed them yet and not confident they will help because the straps are soo weak. Some said they haven't even needed these straps because the cushion stays in place but this definitely hasn't been my experience.Virtually every time I get in the car I have to readjust to seat cushion before getting in. Aside from the lower seat straps weakness, the back does have some heftier straps that go around the back of the seat. However if I was designing these I would have put one extra on the back and redistributed them to secure the cushion better. The main problem is the lower part of the seat cushion tends to slide FORWARD every time you get in and get out, pulling the upper part of the cushion for your back DOWN. If you don't readjust it, it is very uncomfortable on your back as the upper part of the cushion against your back sets lower against your back and bunches up. I feel if they had put a strap to go around the back of the seat right at the bend between the lower and upper part of the cushion this would not be a problem. I am going to see if I can find a bungee cord to go around the seat in this area to help with this flaw. I hate having to spend extra and do extra for something after I buy it due to design flaws!Anyway, so far what I can say is it heats and works, but because it does not stay in place well I am a bit disappointed.

Doesn't fit my car
Needed to replace my after market seat warmers and chose this model due to the good reviews and price combination. I was disappointed when these units did not fit (were too small for) the seats in my car - a Chevy Impala. The seat itself covered 1/2 to 2/3's of my seat and the back didn't cover the whole back. The plushness is nice, but the heater itself does not compare to others I've owned. Save your money.
