Vibrant colors
I love using feathers (and parts of feathers) as small details on my sculptures, and these have been perfect. The colors are vibrant and as far as I can tell, they haven't been dyed -- or if they have been, the dye is colorfast and subtle enough that it doesn't look unnatural. The overall quality is good; out of the whole package, I only had one terribly bent feather, which is pretty impressive. Usually I can expect at least three or more bent feathers out of a craft store bag, but maybe I was just lucky with this particular lot.Speaking of luck, some other reviewers have mentioned the feathers being dirty and stinky, but that wasn't my experience. They did have a slight odor, but it was a natural one and it wasn't offensive. I used to collect dropped feathers as a kid and I kept them in a box until I was ready to use them -- these smelled like that, just slightly musky and lacking in any sort of chemical overtones (like you sometimes get from craft store feathers that have been treated.) A few feathers were imperfect underfeathers, but this didn't bother me as much because I will just strip them and use the fluff and quill separately instead of the whole feather. One thing I did not do was count the feathers, which I suppose I should have done, but it did seem like there was enough to make it to 300 feathers.Overall, I'm happy I picked these up. They're lovely and will make a great addition to my artwork for some time.

Great and pretty feathers. Used for elementary school art project.
My class was studying birds in first grade. I drew a simple generic bird template and photocopied it and the kids glued the feathers and used markers to color the birds. They turned out so pretty. Beautiful feathers but sort of smell like mothballs. But one package was enough for four classrooms to do project and had feathers left over to use later.

Someone doesn't know how to measure
In the description and in one of the pictures shown, it states feathers are 2-4 inches. I had maybe 10 feathers out of the entire bag that I could use. I purchased this bag specifically for a dream catcher I was making. I am going to have to purchase something else. There are not enough to finish the dream catcher and a customer is waiting for their item. Very unhappy!! I want my money back!!
