Silent Mini Fridge | Alaska Compact Drinks Cooler with Lock 36L White Silent Cooling Home or office

I bought this product in August 2012 based largely on the images of the product shown. However, these are slightly deceptive. Though the dimensions and outside look appear to be correct, the inside of the fridge is not as shown.Firstly, the inside shelf you receive with the fridge is nothing like the one shown. The one received is not very "deep" (for lack of a better term) and you can barely fit a row of cans *and* bottles stood up underneath. I resorted to removing the shelf and just stacking my drinks up using the whole space of the fridge.Second, and perhaps the most important thing for me, was the size of the holders inside of the door itself. In the image, they are shown to hold cans of Red Bull and bottles of Schweppes. This is not the case. They are very narrow and are barely wide enough to hold the "mini" (150ml) cans of Coke. I use these for snacks like chocolate and very small packets of crisps as they are simply too small and narrow to hold anything else.On the plus side, the fridge is extremely quiet to the point of being completely silent so it's ideal if you're looking for a small bedroom fridge for snacks and the like. It also does a good job of keeping drinks cold and the added lock is a bonus.I was a little disappointed by the narrow shelves and small interior shelf but overall I think this is a good purchase but could use some more accurate images to accompany the product listing.

Exactly as described. It’s silent, as in even in a quiet room, you only know it’s working because the internal light operates and a few hours later it gets cold.Claims to be up to 17 degrees (centigrade) colder than the room it’s in, and certainly in a comfortable room (I’m only in a shirt and trousers) my drinks are suitably chilly (I’d have to swap hands after a few mins carrying one).Capacity as shown. Also comes with a removable shelf, but I can’t make it fit with the champagne (#firstworldproblems...). The shelves have 2 width positions (I recon the wider position will comfortably hold a 330ml can too) and there’s 3 height positions for the 2 shelves.It doesn’t appear to be a super high performance fridge: if you’re in and out of it all day, get a normal compressor-based model, but if you just want it to hold an after-work cider and keep Emergency Celebration Bubbles chilled, while being able to sleep next to it, it’s pretty perfect.

Quiet YES amazing not brilliant temperature wise in fact NAW shame looks very good compact but the locking mechanism S-it.I may be a little over board but from day 1 the drop down piston to lock would never retract so when you close the door it ALWAYS would catch putting pressure on the door hinges causing damage that would probably not be honoured by seller.Further to this to capacity is surprisingly small trust me. Shame could have been a good product.Skins

Needed the fridge urgently but couldn't afford £40+ for express delivery.Sent a note to provider to this effect and it arrived the next day.... and we live on the Isle of Wight!Fridge itself is not yet properly tested but seems to be fine.It's certainly silent.... but not sure how cold it is getting.

I'd been using a mini cooler in my hotel room (I'm working away from home at present) and the motor is always going. Not terribly noisy, but constant and annoying at times. Then I spotted this "silent" fridge and thought "Hmmm, I wonder". Well I bought it and installed it and it does exactly what it promises .... total silence and chilled drinks etc whenever I want them. Absolutely brilliant. It locks, which wasn't essential, but it's nice to have. There's a light inside, which surprised and delighted me too. All in all I can't fault this little beauty and would list it as one of my highly recommended products.

Plus:It chills very well.Is quiet, I don't notice it.Holds all my drinks including 2l bottles.Cons:It produces lots of condensation on the inside.I got a white one instead of white.The lock broke.The door doesn't shut as well as my brothers, I am lead to believe it is broken but it works fine.Overall I am not impressed with this.

Fridge is undeniabley small but works a treat. It's dead silent and has been a fitful server for my needs for the past 6 months

This is a great little fridge. I bought this for my block room as a cooler for drinks and snacks. It is 100% silent and looks great. I am curious however as to the design, this product as stated in the booklet should not be placed directly on the floor as it requires to have a 5cm clearance for ventilation purposes. For me this required fashioning together some sort of rest for the cooler to sit on raising it the required 5cm from the ground, why not just make the legs 5cm long to raise it the required height?!
