Tubifast 2-Way Stretch Elasticated Viscose Tubular Bandage (Green 5m)

Tubifast is an improvement on the original Tubigrip which is visually very similar, but is more elasticated and differently woven so that it is less likely to unravel at the cut edges. It comes in several sizes that may suit different parts of the body from a child's arm up to the trunk of an adult. Each size is denoted by a differently coloured stripe that is woven into the fabric and could be used on any part of the body that fits to that size's minimum and maximum capacities, which is always circumferential.Tubifast can be used as a bandage to cover a dressing or for support such as with a strain, to relieve muscle or joint pain etc. It does not need pinning or normally any form of adhesive tape and is easily cut to length. Used as a bandage, it can be used as a single thickness or doubled over. For support, doubled is the norm. You may need to be generous with the amount used, especially on joints where it can sometimes gather if cut too short. It is available in several lengths and can be washed and re-used when fully dry.Before making a purchase, check the usage chart for sizes and suggested applications, measure the portion of the body where it is to be used and select the best fit. I have given this product a 5 star rating based on it's quality. But unfortunately it was not suitable for my needs. It is much smaller than I thought. I ordered the 5cm x 5m version as it said it's for small/medium limbs. It was needed for a teenagers arm (very skinny teenager). It was however far too tight to use. I ended up buying the 7.5cm x 5m version and this was perfect (you can double back if want a tighter fit)Double check the size you need by limb circumference as opposed to somebodies description of small/medium limb. You cannot return the item once you've opened it and realised it isn't suitable.

Good product but annoyed it didnt fit the letter box so needed to pick it up from the post office...

Useful. I buy this size to wet wrap my child's arms and knees to help with eczema. Cut to size for arm elbow (make double for each Limb) wet on and squeeze water apply the tubular bandage followed by the dry one to keep heat and moisture in.

Easy to cut and doesn’t fray like some makes. Been very good so far for keeping the dressings in place post op on my wife’s arm. Stretches well and not too tight for lower arm. Make sure you buy the right colour dressing for the size of limb you are using it on

Not as soft as I would have liked.

I bought this for covering up eczema on my arms so I wouldn't scratch it and to keep the cream on, it is doing the job well. I would say this kind is best suited for children or if you have small limbs as an adult, it does stretch but if you have big arms you need to go with the red line or bigger.

This was a great find for myself. The hospital, now I do not want to say a bad word against them were, however, reluctant to let me have spare tubifast. So I continually had to wash out the bandages, which I use as liners for my plastic hand splints, worn to ease the arthritis. The tubifast fit well and are comfortable to wear. Good value too. Will certainly order more when I run out.
