First of all, the fabric – this is RECYCLED material …“RECYCLED LIGHTEN UP -- The same Lighten Up fabric that you know & love is now made from recycled bottles - this sustainable water-repellent fabric is lightweight & durable, yet soft to the touch” … so it isn’t going to be cottony, silky, or even satiny.It is made from the fibers spun from recycled plastic bottles. I’ve seen this in action with Coca-Cola bottles. It was demonstrated when the company was at a NASCAR race YEARS ago (probably about 5+).So, given how it is MADE, the fabric will have a different feel.Second, the color. I LOVE the purplish BELLE PAISLEY print as it is nearly identical to the cross-body I got for Christmas – FRENCH PAISLEY.The zipper is STRONG on this, as in suitcase quality. The lanyard hangs nicely, unless you’re sitting in a car.I got this for the times when I am running errands by myself. There is NO convenient place to store what I need in my nearly 13 year old car.It also makes it easier for curbside when you need to show your ID.The clip and key ring are SOLIDLY built. They’ll withstand almost any everyday wear and tear.I had a beautiful cotton one, and LOVED it. So, when I saw this – I couldn’t resist.It is pricey. Then again, it is a VERA BRADLEY item.Very pleased with this!

This is a great item for those who prefer recycled items and want to contribute by buying them. This one looks good but not quite as good as it does in the photo. I didn't expect that. It's still very pretty but I just expected a little different. I have owned several zip IDs for many many years. They last as long as you want them to. They are that well made and I use mine every single day. They just make life easier. Everything I need is in one place - my id, credit cards, insurance info, money and keys. I can make it with those items. This recycled model feels thinner than the traditional fabric and is a little more flimsy. I don't like it quite as much. I still like it very much but I just prefer that traditional fabric. The lanyard is easy on and off with a clip. It's just so handy.

I love that this purple-hued ID case has a clear window for quick display of ID but also extra room inside for a couple of cards and a little money. The lanyard is attached to to case by a sturdy metal ring and durable fabric loop -- no one is going to yank or slip off the case when it's around your neck. The pouch zippers shut. The interior has an open pocket for your ID, and that makes it easy to extract if someone needs to see more than the front. Your other cards and money have a separate area behind the ID pocket.The background of this Vera Bradley case is a deep purple. The floral pattern has lavender, aqua, pink, yellow, and orange colors. The measurement are roughly 5" x 3".I love Vera Bradley's tough Reactive fabric. I have other, larger pieces that use it, and I find it to be extremely durable and easy to wipe clean.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

This is a super cute way to carry a few cards and maybe a little cash with your ID when you go out somewhere that you don't want to take your entire purse to.This would be great for an outdoor festival or a flea market. Might possibly work for a concert...depending on the type of concert you go to....I don't think it would work for a metal show though....even under your shirt you could find that it may get caught on something while you jump around in a mosh pit.I also love that they use recycled materials to make these!
