Such a good read. I really love this series and love the crossovers between the packs.I loved Flora and the moment when she realised the Males were checking out her booty made me smile.

Great series
Really enjoyed all the books in this series. They are all quite different and focus on different packs and characters, but there are some underlying plots that continue through the books. I would recommend reading them in order. There is a Novella/Book 4.5 (The Stone Wolf's rejected mate) which is set in North Border pack. It is very good and I recommend, but is not grouped with the other books on Amazon and is not advertised at the end of this book.

my favourite author
My favourite author, bar none.Every book is fantastic- I love a flawed hero/heroine who grow into themselves and have their redemption arc. Cate writes believable and distinct characters, and every book is worth it.It’s never formulaic, and this one will be a re-read for me, along with the others. Alec is so stoic and repressed, coming out of his shell is a joy. Flora knows her worth. It’s perfect.

Flora
Last book (you would think it would be five books but nope) I liked this series but each book did not have many of last book in them it was more cameos.as each pack is set a few miles away from each one. So you only get the feeling of pack in each book as the book show loyalty but ends then you move to another pack with each book.I did see mistakes made he drops the hammer but then he is dragging it in his hand in and dropping it to the floor again.when did he pick it up?The storylines was interesting worth the read but was very much like the last plus some things don't get told. What was going on with Tandie or whatever her name was the scar face lady why was she there is she in heat? Nothing was said why?we get every detail about a pet rabbit but not some people?

Alec and Flora
This was my favourite book in the series. Alec really hurt Flora. For years. With his carelessness and being oblivious to what he felt for her. When Flora discovered he was her fated mate, it was the best day of her life, but also her worst when Alec rejected her publicly. So, she had enough. She didn't make a scene. She didn't cry or scream. She just packed a bag and left in search of a better pack to Alec's shock. Surprisingly, he wasted no time in going after her.

Great series
I’ve loved The Five Packs series so far. It’s different from most of its shifter contemporaries in its setting, pack dynamics and storylines, giving a great alternative to the usual you get in this trope. It’s been like a breath of fresh air. Cate is up there with Lola Glass and Suzanne Wright when it comes to how to write great shifter books for me.

Awesomeness overload.
This book had me hooked straight away, I have read this whole series and had to purchase them on paperback because they are that good. This one really does hit me in the feels and that's what I love from a book. Thank you so much for writing this and sharing your talent with us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. Can't wait for the next.

A Fantastic Addition to the series
I really adore Cate C Wells. She crafts such excellent stories and interesting characters. This 4th book of the series feels as interesting and complex as ever and I really enjoyed the story told here even when at times it was very emotionally trying. I totally recommend this book and the whole series

Raw, real and emotionally satisfying, indeed
Perfection! I wish I could read it for the first time again!I started to read this book with zero expectations, since it was my first time reading this author, but I ended up loving all of it.What a great story. Amazing character development.

By far my favorite book in the series
I love this book for so many reasons. Ms. Wells' stories have depth. Whenever someone talks about writing a book about victimization, I roll my eyes and yawn. Typically these books are heavy handed, predictable, and shallow. This is a book that tackles this topic well. Her characters are real in so many ways. At one point, the heroine says "...shaking off mean words no one even said. I've been trained to say the things to myself and until this moment, it never even occurred to me." That's such a true statement, in so many ways. Sometimes no one says anything awful to you, you just assume they will because of your past. This is a fantastic story about the journey of letting go of the past. I just love the sentiment of the book. Don't get me wrong, I liked the other books, but this one is by far my favorite of the series

Pleasantly surprised
This was a great book. The first book was great, the 2nd was enjoyable, and the 3rd was ok, so I kinda expected this one to be a flop. But it wasn't, and I'm sorta surprised that it turned out to be really good. I liked both Flora and Alec's characters, I'm glad Flora finally became happy in her own skin and was not embarrassed about being plus sized. I'm also stoked that Alec loved her the whole time and was turned on by her body. There is nothing wrong with being bigger, no matter what anyone else says, and sometimes the bigger girl does get the hot guy! I should know, I'm not small, and I always get the hotter guys, lol. I recommend this book. Actually, I recommend this series, it was pretty good. Several times, it had me so engrossed that I didn't look up till it was 2 or 3 in the morning, on a work night at that. So check it out, you'll enjoy it as much as I have. I'm sad it's over! Enjoy!

Fat phobia is real
It's good to know that someone is willing to talk about it and in such details. It's true. And real. If you keep putting derogatory thoughts about her body shape in a child it will grow into a big demon by the time she is an adult. Even Ms Nola who loved her didn't realize what she was doing when she said you will look slimmer in black. Without meaning to she was reinforcing what others were saying but in a more mean manner.Does that take away a bit from the romance. Maybe. But it's worth it especially since Alec is delicious and Flora learns to come out of it on her own.
