RuffwearKnot-a-Leash Dog Leash, Reflective Rope Lead with Carabiner, Lichen Green, Small

Bought this for my Granddog, ELLA, a Basset. She is strong and a puller on a leash. This is the 3 RUFFWEAR leash she owns. She is a fashion statement...lol.Her leash must match her RUFFWEAR harness. She was "Little Red Riding Hood" for the past 2 years. Time for a change. So now she is sage green for spring walks with the HUMAN Dad. Of course she looks adorable !!I only gave it 4 stars because the leash colors DO NOT MATCH all the harness colors. SO this black is an accent color...lol.My daughter is OCD and matchy matchy. But we are ALL happy with ELLA's spring outfit.The quality deserves 10+ stars. The harness wears like iron. And the leash is strong !!Now if we can just get the colors to match... WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD THIS WOULD BE.Please do not hesitate to purchase RUFFWEAR. Fabulous product.

I was extremely skeptical spending $40 on a leash. When I first took the leash out of the packaging I was disappointed it seemed like any $15 leash from Petco. However, once I used it I was extremely satisfied . If you have a dog that pulls for some reason this carabiner lock makes a big difference. If you have a small dog who isnt too strong this leash is not worth it go to petco BUT if you have a strong dog and a slight puller definitely pay the $40

These leashes are resistant to boxer bites, excellent quality and their designs are spectacular and beautiful.

I was so happy to see this leash, I almost lost my dog with the regular leash for some reason it kept coming off the harness and if I hadn’t noticed it right away he would of taken off. I feel so relieved now with this Ruff leash!

This is my fourth leash. I like the leashes hook. I have had to duct tape where the leash connects to the hook as they have frayed. However, the rest of the leashes have been sturdy and very reliable.

This seems like a well made leash that will last a while, but I don’t like this leash.The biggest issue is that there’s no swivel where the leash meets the carabiner. This means the leash gets all twisted up and you have to manually unwrap it to keep it from kinking up. This is very annoying and if I hadn’t used the leash and gotten it a little dirty, I’d return it for this reason. If it simply swiveled between the leash and the carabiner, this would be a much better leash. That said, the locking carabiner clip is great and is by far the best part of the leash. That’s not coming undone.Also, I’m not wild about the handle. It’s basically just some fabric wrapped over the rope and stitched. A little padding would have been nice. The fabric and stitching is of good quality though.While all the materials seem durable and high quality, they don’t add up to $40, especially given the clumsy design.I’ve been impressed by other Ruffwear gear, but this leash is quite disappointing.

I've got a very excited labrador that is still learning how to walk "calmly" outside. I already had a few different leash that were not all that great to hold for longer periods of time. I already bought other products from ruffwear so I knew the quality was guaranteed. I've been using this leash for a while and finally I can walk my dog for longer walks without feeling uncomfortable on my hands. It's very sturdy, and the carabiner is much more secure.

Love this lead it works perfectly and has not worn in any way since we bought it.Well worth the extra money for a good brand that does what it says!The carabiner clip is easy to use when clipping her into the car too and can be trusted to stay put as it twist locks in place. Also the handle is comfortable if you have a pulling pup and the loop for poo bags is handy tooVery happy would buy again

I really like the design with a carabiner means you clip to your dog then lock it in place - there is just no way it could ever slip off or get loose. The actual lead material is really good, very similar to climbing rope, and is very well made.Worth noting there is not a revolving/swivel mechanism on the lead so your dog will end up twisting the lead around and you periodically will want to untwist the lead. Personally I am totally happy with this and feel a twist mechanism would be a weak spot, I like the strength and safety.We bought a second in a different colour as we liked it so much.

This is a lovely strong lead but as others have said, there is a slight design fault in that the lead becomes twisted if you have a dog that doesn't walk completely straight! The locking device on the Carabiner Clip also comes undone at times so has to be regularly checked for safety. From such a well known brand (and they are certainly not cheap), I was a little disappointed and expected better which is why I have only given it four stars.

A superb product. Strong and secure. The lockable carabiner gives you extra peace of mind. Would highly recommend. Asked my dog what he thought of it and he gave two barks, which usually means: "Food please!" so not much help there, I'm afraid.Anyway, I think it is brilliant.
