Although there is routing for the wires to go keeping then clear from the inductance coil, poor workmanship had my ATU with 'floating' wires to the SWR/Pwr meter that were too close to it. I believe inductive heating partly melted the thin insulation, which led to arcing across the circuitry, burning the wires, and causing more shorting. Yes, it worked for a while, then it went FUTT! Very dangerous, as it also was arcing onto the casing.Do the maths and work out how many volts that could potentially be. If I wasn't just an M7 it could be much worse.Hang the warranty.... I'd suggest taking a look inside (the top comes off easily, just a couple of screws) before use. An easy fix, just lift the wires clear and route them over the meter, where it appears they should go.If you do find the wires loose, please let the manufacturer know that this is unacceptable!Sadly the 'FUTT!' happened the day after the return window closed. Not happy :(I'm torn between 1 & 2 stars. It gets +1 star because when it worked it was a good ATU, matching my 40m long wire from 6m to 160m

I have been very happy with this unit, used extensively mobile with an assortment of arieals and matches up just about anything 👍👍 would not be without now.Expensive but well worth the investment
