Interesting
Heard a lot about this and decided to read up. Very interesting. This book mentions a name that is supposed to be the guru of it. It’s not expensive and you can get it on kindle too. It’s easy to understand if you have an open mind. It’s a new subject and I am just giving it a once over.

A game changer
Just finished this book and I am going to start reading it again. It has so many important points and helpful tools in overcoming issues we create for ourselves, often in autopilot. There’s a lot to remember which is why I intend to keep reading over and over until most of its content becomes second nature. I know if I get to that point life will be incredibly different to what it is now for me, for the better.

Very Interesting Read 🤓👍
I really liked reading this book, because it was very insightful as to how the mind can actually affect the physical body as well as the actual brains performance, when setting yourself a clear goal, changing the perception about yourself, failure, and achieving the goal to actually help you deliver extraordinary results both physically, mentally, and performance. This book does delve into religion slightly, which is interesting because it shows how God has created us uniquely, and how God has given us the ability within ourselves to improve our own lives, as well as our views of ourselves.

Some good stuff
I've read quite a few self help books over the years and most of them run along the lines of "you are what you think you are". This one is no exception but I do like to read the concept being put forward in different ways and that's what I got from this book.

Ahead of its time
This is one of the best motivational books I've ever read - possibly THE best. Originally published in 1960, it was clearly ahead of its time.Dr Maltz not only describes in the book how positive mental imagery can help set you on a course towards achieving your goals, but he uses examples of scientific research to back-up his theories on how this mechanism works.Maltz compared the brain to a super-efficient computer system that is programmed by our thoughts (hence the name "cybernetics") - it is up to us, he said, to get the programming right. He also wrote about the power of relaxation and visualisation, subjects that are discussed by motivational writers today, but usually in a more glib way and with less scientific reasoning. The book also contains several practice exercises designed to replace negative thought patterns with positive ones and to facilitate relaxation. A very worthwhile read.

Interesting and insightful but outdated and fairly sexist.
It's very interesting to see the research and personal experiences of the author. But the religious and gender language in the book makes it quite an uncomfortable read.

A classic. I read it over and over.
This one is a must read and I believe most beneficial if read more than once. The principles are ageless and can change lives.
