previously i was using bare minerals matte in fair which has bismuth and stings on application, and the shade was a bit pinkish, but this alima is much closer to my skin tone and no bismuth or sting. plus the price is great. a light dusting of this over my sunscreen and i am good to go.

I was really struggling earlier this year to find a clean foundation that wouldn't breakout my face and also didn't have any of my allergens in it. I was so happy when I found this foundation, with so few ingredients but so many color options. It covers very well (I always put my moisturizer or a primer on first) and blends in for a natural look. It stays on pretty well, but sometimes does need re-applied/touched up mid-day. I've been using this foundation for a few months now, and am so happy with it! My face feels healthier and looks clearer than it has in years! I wish I had tried it sooner!!

I have super sensitive skin - eczema (dehydrated)/combination skin) and I get cystic acne (which has been improving but still happens more often than I would like). I've been slowly transitioning over to more natural products since my body is becoming more sensitive to things. I was skeptical about getting a powder that is a foundation, but I decided to give it a shot.I like how there are so many options to match your skin tone (because that will make or break how well it covers/looks.) I also loved the description for each production. I thankfully got the perfect shade when I ordered on the first try.I was pleasantly surprised that it actually covered my acne scars/redness (from the cystic acne - which is so hard to do) - better than my concealer. So, I don't need a concealer anymore!I tried different methods of applying and the quantity of which. I find I don't really like putting it completely over my entire face. It looks nice at a normal distance but up close you can totally see the makeup. I found that I like to apply it more as a concealer than a foundation.For those that do not wish to use it as I do, you can build up the coverage. It is fairly easy to do. I would think too many layers might give a cakey look but it does cover nicely to begin with, so maybe 2 layers if you need a medium/full coverage. Again, every face is different so experiment.I use a setting powder but you may or may not need to. I tend to have combo skin so my forehead can get oily. You'll have to experiment.One month in and no bad reactions so far. (I usually need at least 3 months before I can get a reaction so time will tell on that but I don't foresee it happening.) I don't think it clogs my pores (at least not yet) although I'm not caking it all over my face either.Overall, it works well.

I loved everything about this brand and how many shades they offer, how natural it is. Unfortunately this was far too sheer for me so I'm only giving it 4 stars. However, the formula is nice. It consists of natural ingredients and goes on so smoothly. If you are looking for light or more natural coverage it would be perfect. The shade range is very good too. I was able to return it easily through Prime.

I was searching for a better option for sensitive skin ( Perioral Dermatitis ) and I stumbled on Alima through many articles that mentioned it was one of the best for that condition.I loved that there is an option to order a test kit( through Alima’s website ). It comes with several options in the tone range you need. Then when I had matched correctly ; ordered the perfect shade. It’s not heavy and I’ve had not one issue with it causing irritation ( so many all natural products claim to be great for skin but upon research …they are not. Bare minerals for example. This product is definitely true to what they advertise)It lasted me for a great amount of time as well.Overall ; I’ve been very pleased with this and so has my skin!

I got this product specifically because I saw it recommended for perioral dermatitis, and I’m happy to say it works!!!! I’m very thankful because I enjoy makeup but my other powder was making the rash much worse!

I came from a different brand which caused me breakouts, however i never used to have breakouts. This brand is easy on skin, no oil and all the other junk most brands use. Definitely recommend. They also have all colors and it's easy to figure out which one is good for you by the accurate descriptions.

I decided to try a mineral powder makeup because I was having eye allergy issues, turns out it was my contacts.. but I am glad I did. This powder covers IPress I let well, although I don’t have anything major to cover up. When I did have a red zit I tapped my finger in the powder and gently rubbed it over the zit and it disappeared! When using a proper brush you can buff this foundation in so it just looks like you have nice alone without make up on. I have noticed it helps to let my sunblock/moisturizer sink in before going in with the mineral foundation, otherwise it looks a little darker. I use the real techniques face brush and it works well. I ordered a flat buffing brush that had good reviews for mineral foundation but it wasn’t stiff enough to buff the make up in so the coverage isn’t as good or smooth. The key is to buff it in for sure. It also lasts all day and I work in a hot sweaty environment, with a mask on.

Love this foundation, goes on really smooth and melts into the skin like a canvas as the day goes. Good ingredients that doesn't clog pore nor sensitize skin. Thumbs up!
