Flows beautifully/Ok hand-feel
I am pleased with the Vandro Complete Luxury Fountain Pen Set‘. I liked it so much I test ran it for my daily study journal. I take about two hours of notes each day. Here are my thoughts:Pros:*Reasonable weight.*Assuring click when you’ve got your lid back on. I feel fairly confident this cap will keep any incidents inside that lid. *If I have remembered to get it fully engaged. ;)*The ink flow is super consistent.*The look with the lid off is wonderful. I was on the fence about this till I handed to a friend to try and while I watched my thought was: wow (!) that’s such a beauty of a pen!*It comes with so much ink!! And two colors: black (5) cartridges & blue (5). Plus so much extra black ink.*The black is even darker than my micron pigma and I always thought that was so satisfying (total win here!).* The ink dried very quickly! I’m left handed and I didn’t get any down the side of my hand.((:Side comments: The line thickness that lays down if you’re just writing (not doing fancy pressures like with calligraphy) is approximately 05 mm (comparable to a micron 05). The ink is water soluble, so if you’re writing something you want to last, you will have to take measures to keep wetness away. I tested it long after drying (approximately 20 hours) and it is very water soluble.Cons:*No instructions! If it’s been years since you’ve used a fountain pen (like myself I set mine down three years ago and didn’t get back to it) you will need to find a YouTube tutorial unless you’re like me and you go with trail and error. ;) The thingie that takes up the bottled ink seems complicated but don’t fret it’s quite straightforward just do seek a tutorial for that if you’ve never used a fountain pen. This pen is worth it!*It took a long old time for the ink to flow into the pen tip. Once it began it worked amazingly though. *that’s quite fussy though. I f you love writing the wait is fine.*It took quite a bit of pressure to get the cartridge to click into the pen. Disconcerting because you will maybe feel like the thing could burst (but it’s so stiff the likelihood of that is probably zero). Those are all fussy bits: This ‘Vandro Complete Luxury Fountain Pen Set’ is a beautiful starter set and whomever gets it will have a pen that lasts years and have enough ink for quite some time also. I’m so delighted with this pen that I attached it to my (precious to me) current daily study journal and it looks so lovely there I included a picture! The black pen loop with this Vandro pen is so pleasing to see!!I hope my review helps you make an informed choice. ((:Edit:Typo

Great little starter set
Man, do I love a fountain pen!I was super excited to see this set!!Great packaging. The foam cutouts really hug the pen and the removable chamber and feel really well done, great attention to detail.10 capsules of ink is a really great amount to get with a pen. That's months of writing!! And the 10ml inkwell is another huge boon to the supply side! Man, no need to worry about inks for months!!!The blue in the capsules is a really nice lively blue. I'd put it on par with some other name brand ink makers for its depth and vibrancy. And the black is beautifully saturating on the page. The design of the pen is quite nice and has a nice modern elegance to it.However, I much prefer my fountain pen to be able to be posted to distribute the weight in the hand. If you like a non-posted pen you may really enjoy this one.Ther write quality is fine for a pen in this range.I did have little issue with stoppages with the cartridge, but when I switched to the refillable piston the problems ceased. Perhaps it just needed a little more flow through before going with the cartridges.Overall a great little set and perfect for a gift or an introduction for someone in to the world of fountain pens.

Dependable Performance with High-Quality Inks, but Consider the Weight Factor
I enjoy using fountain pens for drawing and writing because they offer the flexibility of choosing different ink colors, unlike commercially available felt, ball, or gel pens, which have limited options. When I received the pen set, I installed a refill converter and filled it with chocolate-brown ink from Diamine, a small ink company I had come across before. Initially, the ink flowed well, but after a few minutes, the pen started to get clogged. I tried wetting the nib with water, which temporarily resolved the issue and allowed me to write for another minute or so before it clogged again. Eventually, I decided to drain the refill converter and fill it with brown-black yama-guri Iroshizuku ink by Pilot, Japan, which is a high-quality ink. The new ink flowed smoothly and didn't dry or clog, even when I stored the pen upright (with the nib facing up) for a few hours.Additionally, I noticed a couple of things about the pen. Firstly, it is moderately heavy, and when I cap it, the weight increases even further. Secondly, I realized that the cap doesn't stay securely mounted on the back of the pen, even when I apply moderate force to install it. It seems that the makers didn't design it to cap over the rear of the pen.Overall, as a fine-tip fountain pen, it writes beautifully when filled with quality inks. However, due to its weight, I wonder if it is the most practical option for long writing sessions or demanding artistic.

Nice pen! Smooth and consistent. Ink spilled in my box.
The pen feels great in my hand. Nice weight, good circumference, and well balanced. The ink flows smoothly and I didn't have any issues with pooling or smudging, even for my left-handed daughter. For $30, it's a really nice pen. I used my own ink in it as the ink that came with it leaked some into the box. I'd give this 4 stars, otherwise.

This pen feels super luxurious
I've always loved using a fountain pen, just for the scratchy experience of writing on paper, but also because of how classic it looks. I use this thing sparingly, mainly to sign my checks, but otherwise, it does a good job of staying pretty every time I write with it.The ink bottle doesn't seem to hold too much, but as with most fountain pens, it can and will dry out, so washing it regularly can help with the dryness.

Looks good writing not so much
I really wanted to like this pen. It looks amazing comes in a nice gift box and lots of ink. My problem is writing with it. The ink flow isn't even and comes out blotchy. It also makes a scraping noise on paper that makes me want to stab my ears.
