I decided to take a chance on a weighted blanket to help with some of my sleep issues, particularly falling asleep and improving my deep sleep metrics. It took a few nights to get used to, but after a short break-in period, I could feel the improvement in my sleep and see it in my sleep tracking data. Out of the box the blanket feels good to the touch and upon inspection you can see the quality of its construction. Its fabric has a very smooth texture and feels cool to the touch. The Queen size fits my bed well, and would also do well as just a blanket on the sofa or other seated situation in your home.As far as sleep goes, I definitely had a short adjustment period of 2 or 3 nights to get used to sleeping under the weight of the blanket. I went with the 15-pound option which, while far from too heavy, is noticeable and it was on my mind when first sleeping under it. However, after that initial period, I was falling asleep faster than I had been and was experiencing less tossing and turning at night. This feeling was backed up by the sleep data from my Apple Watch. My sleep tracking data showed more consistency in the deeper sleep stages and I felt more refreshed in the morning from an anecdotal perspective.I could recommend this blanket to anyone who wants a comfortable blanket to cover up with either in bed or on the sofa. If you are experiencing some sleep issues, whether getting to sleep or staying asleep, then I would highly recommend giving this blanket a go and seeing if it improves your situation.

I'm really impressed with the quality of this blanket. It's soft and evenly weighted and so cool! I'm a hot sleeper so never considered a weighted blanket, but honestly, I wish I'd tried this sooner. I was waking up with sore joints and having restless sleeps (perimenopausal symptoms) and thought I needed a new mattress but the difference with just this simple change is truly astounding. I love that it is machine washable and the 8-tie system and available covers make it perfect for this clean-sheets freak. My only worry is that the ties on the covers seem a wee bit flimsy - time will tell how they last - and may need reinforcement at some point. In only a week, I am sleeping better, waking up rested and generally a much more pleasant person to be around!

I never had any issue falling or staying asleep (before the pandemic), but I've always loved sleeping under heavy covers. I definitely miss my winter comforter in the summer, and dislike sleeping with just a simple sheet over me when it's hot. So it's a constant battle between being comfortably snug and being too hot with summer comforter.I bought this after hearing how much my sister loves her weighted blanket (not a Luna) and searching for one that would be "cooling" so I can use it during the summer. Luna won because of the reviews, and the price.I bought a 60x80 blanket because I'm tall, I tend to sleep low in the bed, and I hate having my feet half uncovered. My bed is a Queen, and the blanket fits perfectly without sliding down the sides. The exterior material is very soft, although since I'm still waiting for the cover, I'm using a cotton sheet underneath it.And oh my. The weight (15lbs) feels so good. It's snug, but not heavy, and just makes you feel grounded, and, well, "safe". Maybe I should have gone with 17lbs, but it was more expensive. It feels like I enter my own personal safe space as soon as I get in bed. And this is so relaxing. As I said, I never really had problems sleeping, but I do feel like waking up is easier, like maybe the night was just a little better. Or maybe I'm imagining things. My heartbeat also seems to be a little lower during the night, but that may just be a coincidence.I washed the blanket upon receiving it, in a top load washing machine, cold water, and ran it through an additional spin cycle. Then I put it in the dryer on the "delicate - low heat" setting and it came out perfect.I think I will buy the sherpa version for the winter.

My wife and I find ourselves tugging the blanket often to get adequate coverage. I wish it were just a little larger to fully meet our needs.That said, despite the size concern, the Luna Weighted Blanket has still offered us many nights of perfect rest. The comfort it provides outweighs the size inconvenience, and I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. I also appreciate the blanket's durability and easy maintenance. It has held up well after multiple washes, and the construction remains solid.

This blanket is great quality with lots of small pockets to evenly distribute weight. Comes with tags on the corners if you want to tie it in a duvet cover. I would say it’s a blanket meant to have a cover on it, it would be hard to wash.As for the weight I actually went a little light and got 15 lbs, it’s still great and it’s very comfortable and I think my sleep has honestly improved... but it isn’t overly heavy, if I was to get another one I would probably go up in weight.

My partner bought me this for Xmas as I am a bad sleeper and suffer quite badly with anxiety.When you lay the blanket over you it doesn’t feel as heavy as you’d expect its more of a light pressure and it’s lovely.Since sleeping with the blanket fully over me (you’re supposed to ease in with just half for 5-7 days) I’ve slept solidly - something I rarely do.I honestly don’t know if it’s a placebo effect or not but I’ve never had so many consecutive nights where I have slept all the way through the night.I would highly recommend this blanket!

Will update this review as I use the blanket more.I got my Luna blanket last night right before I was about to go to bed (perfect timing), along with a duvet cover as well. I was looking for a blanket that still had some weight to it, but wouldn't cause me to immediately overheat. Right out of the bags, nothing smelled like plastic and I didn't have to air it out which I was really excited about as I wanted to try it out right away. The weight is perfect for me (I ordered a 10lb blanket and weigh 140lbs at 5'4) as I didn't feel like I couldn't move and wasn't overheating right away like I usually do with the down quilt I was using previously. I wish the duvet cover was just a touch softer, but I also prefer to sleep without pajamas so that's just my personal comfort preference. Overall, I really like the cotton material used for both the quilt, and the duvet cover as it does feel breathable. The navy colour is nice, not really my style but was the only one really available - will definitely be ordering another duvet cover in a more fun colour or pattern. It was really easy to tie the loops inside of the cover to the quilt, and I love that the zipper is hidden so well.FIRST NIGHT:Waking up I immediately noticed I wasn't sweating like I usually am from my down-filled blanket, which seriously impressed me as I get extremely hot when sleeping - I didn't have pajamas for this first night as I wanted to see if it would keep me cool. I will admit that I was skeptical about the cooling aspect of this blanket, but the first night it seems to have been great for keeping me from sweating. I absolutely love how I didn't get tangled in the duvet cover because of the secure loops inside, unlike my other blanket. I also woke up feeling slightly more rested than usual if I sleep less than 8 hrs, which was a nice little bonus I wasn't really expecting.THIRD NIGHT:For the last two nights I've purposely fallen asleep wearing sweatpants and a sweater to see if I would wake up sweating, and I must say WOW. I didn't wake up sweating, or overheating at all in the morning or throughout the night. I absolutely love how the blanket feels heavy, but not overly constricting and I can move around comfortably. Overall, I have nothing but positives to say about this quilt (and the duvet cover) and I am definitely happy with my purchase! I look forward to going to bed even more now every night.Will update again after a month's use!

If You are Reading This You are propably considering to buy a weighted blanket. You might have a clue what to expect, or perhaps, you don't even think it would do anything. I was there too, and It will be my highest pleasure to tell you how THIS BLANKET CHANGED ME OVERNIGHT.My Mental State was a disaster, Too much Family Troubles, University , Job , Living Abroad and my Diagnosed Disorders. I thought a dumb blanket will do nothing about my feelings. I was avoiding it at all costs, thinking It would be waste of money, it wouldnt even help me fall asleep. And definitely wouldnt be comfortable. OH WAS I WRONG.When I was lying in bed and had the blanket on , I felt so warm , safe , calm. I am not able to describe the feeling I get but I oddly Like it. I use the blanket over a blanket so I do not even have a duvet. This way the blanket can go around my body tighter and mimic my body better. I was afraid that the blanket could cause sensory issues, but I have to admit this blanket gave me BEST SENSORY EXPERIENCE I could possibly get with money. However, the blanket had some filler on it and leftover sewing thread was also on some threaded pieces.

My granddaughter was at a sleepover recently. When she came home, she RAVED about her friend's weighted blanket. So much so my daughter wanted to get her one. So I checked out all the different company's, read all the reviews, checked out all the prices, and found Luna Sleep to be THE BEST! Their product is very well made, of 100% cotton fabric, double stitched, and chemical free. I then ordered one for myself. I love, Love LOVE IT! As my header says, it's like being hugged. Very comfortable, as well as comforting. The weight of the blanket should be 7-12% of your body weight. The blanket is not machine washable., therefore I suggest you get a cover as well. My granddaughter will love hers, I love mine, and my daughter will be surprised...I bought her one too!
