Can catch small flies at first attempt, but for beasts you need to hit them well.
Obviously, I touched the middle mesh with electricity. You can feel it but I think it feels weaker than an electric lighter and the popping noise scared me more than the "electric shock".Its size is like a smaller tennis bracket. There is a middle mesh (with the electric charge) which is denser (smaller hole size) than the two outer mesh which protects you to touch it.In action: It kills instantly smaller flies, mosquitoes and even fruit flies. However if the fly is too small, it can fly through to holes. In that case just pull back the bracket and if it touches the mesh. It is done. You will hear that. The best thing is that, you can hear a popping noise when you caught the fly, so you do not need to chase them. However, large thumb nail size beasts can survive the first shock but none survived the third. And if it gets stuck between the meshes, it fries. No matter its size.It has three modes. With the first two, you need to press the side button to activate the electric shock. In the third mode (UV light stand alone mode) it is activated continuously, so I use it in this mode.Definitely recommended for the summer.

Effective and very satisfying to use!
Very effective! Makes a crackle every time you get a fly, which is very satisfying (and also means you know you hit on target!)Best zapper I have come across, easy to use as well! Would recommend .

Just about time
We have a fruit tree in the garden and although the fruit is sweet and free to pick, the flies are very annoying. We cannot even open the garden door for long before they fly in.Our previous fly zapper broke, by accident, so I decided to get a new one. This zapper is very useful, it's definitely powerful enough to deal with those flying insects. The best feature is that it can be inserted in the holder, so while it's charging, it shines a UV light to attract the flies. We did catch one the other day putting this on the table. I wouldn't replace your restaurant level fly zapper yet, but this does add convenience and a peace of mind.Good product.

Great Zapper
Installed in my garage, if I get pesky flys in the house out it comes and I give them a nice forehand or backhand depending on my mood. The surface area is big so easy to get rid of them quickly.Easy to recharge and lasts quite a while.Would recommend.

Works well
I already had a zapper but this was an AA version and never gave a crack when getting a fly, this one however is brilliant, loud crack and easy to use. Battery seems to last a good while. Haven't used the blue light function.

Works Perfectly
This works really well to swat flies, it can be hard to get them in the air but it's really easy to use when they're on the wall.I keep it on the stand on the UV setting and it gets a few flies this way.It does smoke and make a loud zapping noise when gets a fly so that's something to be prepared for.I haven't had issues with small flies or smaller moths but have yet to try it on anything bigger. The biggest moth that was hit did leave a burning smell behind.

Heavy duty!
Had a cheapo one from a “pound shop” type shop and the button got stuck down which made it unusable. It was flimsy rubbish. This one is far superior - you can feel the quality in its weight, and the flies feel it in the clout of its shock - it makes a real bang when it gets a fly so (I assume) it’s really powerful! Love the fact that it’s rechargeable, and it also comes with a charging stand and a wall holder.
