I typically buy Sensationail brand gel polishes since I have the Sensationail starter kit with LED light, however they are much more expensive (about $9 per bottle vs about $1 per bottle, granted these bottles are smaller but I don't mind) and I wanted to try a different brand to save money.PROS -* I got the Pastel Paradise set. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cute packacking and the awesome caddy the polishes come in. All the colors were labeled with a color sticker on top which is very convenient.* The bottles are the same size as the smaller Sensational polishes so I didn't think they were too small, especially for the price. They're barely more than $1 each ...* I got full coverage with 2 coats of color. With Sensationail I always have to do 3 coats.* Because the polish is so thick, it doesn't pull away at the tips of your nails and has a very evenly opaque application.* I was able to get a nice looking mani pedi by following the provided instructions. However, 2 steps I didn't see listed that I always follow are to wipe your nails with a lint free cloth and alcohol to clean them after buffing and shaping them, and then use a gel primer on each nail. So I added these steps.CONS -* The polish is so thick. It feels goopy, kind of like regular polish that is getting dried out. That makes it difficult to apply thin coats and also difficult to apply it neatly without going on your skin. Sensationail polish is much thinner and easier to apply.* The colors in the product description and the color on the top of the bottle do not match the actual color of the polish. As you can see from my photos, my nails are a slightly different color than the bottle. Also the colors in the description seem much brighter than in real life. However they are still very pretty shades.I just used this polish for the first time today so I can't speak to how long it lasts, however it seems very durable so far.Overall I really like this set and would recommend it. You cannot beat the price for so many beautiful colors.-----UPDATE after 1 week of wear - the polish chipped much more easily than Sensational brand and I only got 1 week of use versus the 2 weeks I expect from a gel polish. I'm going to try again with a set of firmer, smaller tipped nail art brushes I bought for this purpose. I think the problem was the large brushes that come with these bottles do not allow you to get the corners and tips of the nails well enough & also don't allow you to apply a thin coat. I think this will be much more successful and will update again if I have any issues.

This is my first gel color nail kit. I finally had a chance to use it and I’m super impressed! I followed the directions to a T and I can’t believe how well my nails turned out especially with it being my first time. One thing I learned is the first layers of base polish and the colored polish does not dry completely in between layers which I was expecting. Once the top coat is dried for 60 seconds the entire nail is dry and hard. I spent so much time trying to completely dry every layer and wasted a lot of unnecessary curing time. This is a great set for anyone, especially beginners. The colors in the set I purchased are absolutely gorgeous. The polishes are self leveling and lay down very smoothly. I can’t wait to get more colors now! Although I have plenty to play with with just one set. Oh and the smell isn’t that bad although I guess that’s a matter of opinion. I didn’t even notice it after I started using it.

I love beetles gel polish: easy to work with, long lasting and great price. Was trying to find a softer set of colors and these are so cute!Little tip to save you time in the future: Make a paper swatch, cure it and tape it to the side of your box. Makes picking a color much easier, especially if it’s not your only beetles box.I like to make a gradient by pushing in the middle and letting more collect on the edges so you I gauge how many coats I want.My only criticism is that the set comes out sideways so you have to take the whole stand out rather than just peep inside and grab what you need. Makes a big difference and would be an easy packaging fix.Extra points for including a base coat, top coat and matte top coat in the set so you don’t have to purchase them separately.Shipping was literally next day for me, so big thanks to the seller.

definitely a great purchase, and the fact it comes with base/top coat (with matte/gel as opotions) is fantastic! however, It only lasts me about 5 days max before it starts to peel (and this peeling usually takes chunks of my nail along with it!) This is despite the fact i do prep my nails beforehand, assuring that they are cleaned and dried. Otherwise, great in a pinch!
