These connectors are missing the required pair of 5.1kOhm pull-down resistors on the CC lines that are required for an upstream facing port, which means that chargers that check the CC lines won't detect a device is plugged in and so won't deliver any power to these boards. For simple chargers like ones that use an A to C cable, these will work fine.

Even without any wires attached, these plastic covers don't really fit the socket that comes with them. They just don't lay flat inside the covers. You can force it to snap into place, but the small plastic clips on the side will break unbelievably easy. It seems as if the sockets and the covers are made by 2 different suppliers and they never bothered to check if they were compatible before selling them to the public. I've had to resort to just gluing everything together during the assembly just so they stay assembled. Another side effect of this fitment issue is that if your male USB C plug fits a little snug, it will easily pull out the entire socket from its housing, breaking all of the plastic clips along the way (if they managed not to break during installation). Unfortunately there are no other sellers on Amazon they sell the sockets with the accompanying housings, so we are forced to make these work any way we can, I guess.(The included photos show the broken side tabs and the fitment issue.)

Order came with missing housings. Connector and strain relief but no housing. Useless for making a cable if no housing. Total waste of money!
