Q: Although the description says it's made with metal. Is it metal or is it aluminium?

There is nothing stamped on it to say it is aluminium so I would assume it is just base metal. I have been using mine for several years and the plastic coating on the majority of the metal has kept any rust at bay. It is quite lightweight too. Mine is as good as the day I bought it.

The middle horizontal section when fully open, from the floor is 36 inches

Q: When fully open what is the max height of the leafs from ground?

The height of the outer leaf when open is...42.1/2 inch’s (1 metre 8cm) The height of the inner rung of the leaf is...38 inch’s (97cm) I hope this is helpful!!! I have found this clothes dryer/ Airer brilliant for all sorts of clothes and bedding...Duvet covers etc
