I bought these before Christmas to put on some small trees. I already own/use an expensive set of solar fairy lights with large usb-rechargeable battery capacity, but didn't want to spend as much for what I expected to be temporary use over the holidays. At first, in the shortest days of the year and in a north-facing garden, I got maybe 2 hours of light at best, on the permanent setting. That's what I was expecting, and it was fit for the purpose of cheering up the early evenings. It's now the beginning of February; I've kept the lights on the trees as they look pretty and give off a bright light. They're brighter than my expensive set but have taken longer to build up capacity, so I imagine they'll last longer through next winter. Yesterday was a sunny day, and having lit up at dusk they were still on after 7am this morning. I think that's really good for days that are still short, and in a part of the garden that doesn't get sun all day. For what I paid for them I think they're excellent and I'd recommend them. It's such a pleasure to look out and see them twinkling in the garden in the winter, and they'll be lovely to have when I sit out outside on summer evenings with friends :)

I already had a set similar to the description with just on/off and mode buttons, but the set just arrived and has a timer function which is great, apart from no instructions on how to use it!!

They are very twinkly, and bright. It's a pretty long strand.

As several of the other reviewers found, these lights worked fine the first evening, the second evening, after quite a sunny day, they worked for about an hour & the third evening they did not work at all. I returned them for credit & I have now bought another set from a different company which, admittedly, were three times the price but light years ahead in quality. They also enclosed full instructions on how to use them (which this set did not) &, best of all, they were not made in China!

Stay on for a couple of hours once dark, street lighting nearby may have some impact on this.Might be better once we get more sunshine to charge them up.

Self explanatory. Easy to use.

I am so happy with these. They are high quality, the brightness is amazing fir solar and they stay on all day and most of the night through Summer. Highly recommend. Much better than cheaper brands from discount shops.
