So many recipes for cooking meat tell you to make sure that the internal temperature needs to be at a certain level. I’ve tried using my old fashioned metal meat thermometer. It has never given me an accurate reading quickly. You wait and watch while it slowly moves up as the piece of meat is actually slowly cooling off. With this product the reading is immediate and accurate. Just make sure it’s charged before using and follow the instructions on placement in the food to avoid damaging the thermometer. The reading can be seen immediately on the free app, on your smartphone. Does what I need for sure.

Constantly disconnects from the app even when the phone is closeby. Battery indicator is inaccurate. I think I was about 1 for 7 getting it to work like it is intended. It has been a headache rather than a help when cooking. Waste of money and won’t be using anymore

It stopped connecting 45 days after purchase. Too late to review, too broken to use. disappointing.

I have done quite a bit of research as I was looking for a reliable wireless thermometer for my Traeger smoker. The Meater brand was just too expensive, so I spent time researching and this one fit the bill. Great price, great reviews, and looks great.

I really wanted to like this thermometer cause I had been looking for one for quite some time but I kept running into issues with it on my 1st cook.1. You have to keep the app open the whole time. If you navigate away from it for too long, it would kill your 'cook' and you have to start the timer all over again.2. It kept losing connection to my phone all the time. It would sync back up after a minute but was annoying.Other than that, it worked fine. The smoked chicken I made turned out perfect. Hopefully I'll have better luck on my next cook.

This will NOT reach more than a few feet away from your meat. The range is a BOLD FACED LIE!!! and this holds true for All of these type of thermometers, I am sure.

I started out loving this thermometer. The app is problematic, it keeps disconnecting and the alarms won't sound. It does still read the temps but the alerts stop working. If they fix the app issues, I will up the star count.

Thermometer stops tracking temp as soon as phone screen is off or you move to a different app (not even closing that app out) waste of money!

The thermometer appears to have heat damage which is silly because being that it is a meat thermometer, you would hope that it would be able to accommodate extreme temperatures. Now it no longer connects to the app and has not charged. Very disappointed. It worked nicely the first few times we used it but it no longer works anymore.

Purchased this because I was tired of guessing whether my meats were at my desired doneness. Reverse seared a tomahawk with this thermometer for the first time. It was a perfect medium rare at 120. The app is a little outdated but it does the job. Strongly recommend, should have bought this a long time ago!

Probe will enter in charger holder only if you hold the probe in correct position-I want app to let me know when to turn meat, because it is fun to have this option.All the rest similar to other competitors.Put 4 stars as credit will change to 5 when alarm issue will be fixed and turn meat notifications added :)

After what appeared to be a good review, I ordered this item on Prime Day. The item arrived in a sealed box, however the supplied USB cable was broken. I used a spare i had to charge the device, which was not the end of the world. I followed the instructions to connect the thermometer to my phone via Bluetooth, however, the first time i used the thermometer, it would not stay connected to the app on my phone. I deleted the thermometer from the app and repaired it the following day. This time it connected to my phone but would disconnect as soon as i got more than 5 feet away from my bbq. I emailed the company and they promised me a replacement item... still waiting... not responding to email. You may want to consider purchasing a different item.
