Built well in frame lacking in others!!
I bought this fell in love with and cried after I realized the resistance wasn't very good and a piece was broken off on cheaper parts of construction!! If they put a little more attention to detail to parts on the whole machine as they did the frame!! It would give concept a run for money because of the price point!!

It’s a Great Rowing Machine
I’ve used a Concept 2 rower at my CrossFit box for about 6 years. I was hesitant to go off-brand, but after reading reviews and giving it plenty of consideration, I decided to try this Strongick brand and have to say, I’m impressed. The construction is sound, the assembly process was not difficult, and I was able to start using it right away. I downloaded the app and connected to bluetooth with my phone and I’ll explore that more later. I’ve never been that intentional with my results, but I’ll give it a go.The things I noticed were the machine is quiet, and the pull is smooth. The seat (which is made a little different and actually feels a little better than C2) rolls fine, the handle is great (it might be on upside down, so I may reverse it later). I’m not sure the length of the bar holding the flywheel is as long as the C2 but it doesn’t cheat you any in the pull, I get full range of motion and can adjust the intensity as I like. The readout on the meter is a little hard for me to see as I have bi-focals and it’s just beyond the place they are clear. The arrangement of the readout is different from the C2, but it covers the bases, and gives some other options in terms of things like bluetooth connection and so forth. It’s the same size and the bar can be adjusted, but my arm is a little short to reach it while sitting on the seat. I’d like a little better access to it but I’ll just learn to fiddle with it before I start rowing.Other people mentioned items missing in the box. I found all the bolts and more than I needed (about 8 in all, I think). The instructions mentioned washers, and they were not found. It also mentions an oil vial which also was not found, as others have said. But none of that is a problem. The instruction manual gives you a way to contact customer service if you need any parts, so it’s not a bad thing.I’m happy with it and hope to get the benefit of using it for many years. I recommend it.

Its cheap.
First of all the packaging was garbage. The box was destroyed which led to missing washers and lubricating oil, like others have mentioned before me, but I can only assume the damage also caused the rollers located order the seat to be partially damaged as well. The assembly was easy enough with clear instructions. The booklet provided has no manufacturer number or email to contact to order replacement parts and there was no warranty. So now I have to try and find a replacement part for the broken rollers under the seat through another brand hoping that they work. The rower needs to be calibrated badly. On average it takes me between 2:00-2:30 minutes to complete 500 meters depending on the damper setting and the duration of the workout. This monitor was reading over 5 minutes per 500 meters.Lastly, if you are looking for a cheap rower with zero manufacturer guarantee and don't care about stats, this is the rower for you. On the up side when I do use this, it does get me breathing and sweating hard and my heart rate up.UPDATE: I just recently replaced the rollers under the seat. Bought replacements from concept 2, they fit perfectly however you have to buy the hardware because the bolt is a different size. The roll is now much smoother. The distance is still off and havent found a way to calibrate yet.

Excellent rower.
Extremely similar to the Concept2 rowers. Have even ordered an iPad holder from Concept2 and installed on the Strongick.

Good for beginners
If you're a beginner to the row machine, or just looking for a light workout, this is great. Easy to assemble, pretty sturdy feeling. Great price.. but you get what you pay for. If you're used to gym- quality Rogue or similar brand row machines, this will disappoint. The highest resistance setting here feels like the lowest on a top quality product. Also, it is extremely inaccurate. Normally, I take around 23-25 mins full effort to complete 5000m. This one said i finished in 15 flat, and I was barely sweating.

Almost as good as the Concept two
This row machine gets the job done. Easy to assemble. Runs well. The only two set backs, coming from a former Concept 2 rower consumer, the watts measurements are different and the chain is lighter which makes the rowing process easier. Too easy. All in all, it is a great rower and affordable. I highly recommend this rower.

Great rowing machine!
My friend who is a fitness expert recommend I get the Concept 2 but with everything going on they are being sold way over suggested retail. I found this one and decided to give it a try. I’m very pleased with this machine. The only fault I have is that it was missing all the washers and the oil for the chain. Very easy to put together.

Overall good machine
This is my first rower and perfect for what I’m looking for. The screen display I wish had a bit more for features, wish it broke down your workout showing splits. Also the app/Bluetooth I’m not able to connect and when the app is displayed it shows Chinese or Japanese language.
