Preliminary Review to be updated
10-19-23 I purchased this product for all-over body hair removal. I have only used this item once and want to give first impressions and then return later to report back on efficacy of hair removal. I had no immediate skin irritation or redness and the process was not uncomfortable. I gave it an average of 3 stars as a baseline and will increase or decrease that score when I know the efficacy of the product. There are some discrepancies between how it is advertised and how the manual reads. The manual is written in poorly translated English, and is primarily composed of warnings. As instructed, I did my first hair removal session with the setting on it's lowest setting (1) to determine my sensitivity and any irritating effects. It was comfortable on the skin, did not overheat on this setting and I only felt a slight needle pain a couple of times where I may have missed a longer hair when shaving (shave first...no moisturizing shave cream). I was a little confused at times (since you can't see well) about pushing the same button to flash, same button to repeat flash, and same button to adjust intensity levels. I don't want to accidently and unknowingly increase the intensity level while I am trying to repeat flash. I will have to do some experimentation there.I wear glasses, so removed them to use the dark glasses provided. The flash is bright, even on low so I closed my eyes and when I used it on face and armpits, I draped a dry wash cloth over the glasses. As near as I can tell, you will eventually do this blind by feel since you can see very little. Holding down the flash button makes things go faster and easier. I did have the flash button get stuck going and could not turn it off without turning off the machine and starting over. Will see if this is a future issue. The unit is very lightweight so my intuition tells me, if you drop it, it might break easily.Someone posted a video here that refers to the cord as the "charger". It is not a charger, it is a power cord that must be used connected to wall current. The same reviewer also stated that the countdown meter showed you how many flashes you had before you needed to "recharge it". This is incorrect. In essence, once you have used up the allotted number of flashes, you will need to replace the unit. It is essentially, a disposable unit. In the product description, it states it can last for years. Of course this depends on if you just use it for your chin hair, or if you use it for all-over body hair removal. I will be interested to note how long it actually lasts with regular use. I would imagine, it is still far more economical than salon hair removal treatments, if, of course, it is effective. The product description outlines approximations for how frequently you will need to use it and when to space treatments further out. The instruction manual does the same but it basically says you will need to use it twice a week forever. That would not be a useful process since I don't even SHAVE that often and this is a bit more time consuming given that you first shave, and then use the product.I would add an additional warning that is not listed on this site or in the manual: If you suffer from epilepsy, any seizure disorder, or are prone to light triggered migraines...consider the purchase carefully. I am prone to migraines. So I am being very careful to expose myself to as little of the flashing sensation as possible. The instructions start out with 2-3 times per week, and state not to use deodorant, any lotions/creams/gels etc for 24 hours or expose yourself to sun. If you do that math, you will be living in a dark cave while your skin dries out and your armpits stink for the next few months while you determine how often you need to treat, and when, based on that schedule, you can use your regular skin treatments. All of that being said. I HATE shaving. And I hate the hair ripper epilators that only served to clog the hairs into my pores so I had a lot of ingrown hair. Likewise I detest chemical hair remover which on my body cause rashes and just slightly frighten or bend the hair. I would not consider purchasing another of these units after the number of flashes is used up UNLESS, the results are pretty darn wonderful and mostly permanent hair removal is achieved. So stay tuned. It seemed like the price was approachable and reviews were good overall so it was worth a shot. I've not ever had this sort of hair removal treatment before either at home or in a salon.

So far so good!
I have been using this product for the last few weeks. I purchased because my hormones after menopause were creating unwanted facial hair. After a few weeks of use, I can see a difference! Reduced hair!! It is easy to hold and the instructions are clear on how to use. The light is very bright, and the company provided some really dark glasses to wear during operation. I highly recommend!!

So far so good
I bought this to use during the summer in between my laser hair removal sessions. I think it has been working to keep the hair growth at bay! It doesn’t hurt at all, the flash is quite strong so close your eyes even with the sunglasses. For the price if it helps at all it’s worth it to me.
