Lately I've been getting redness with my cotton socks and boots after working in the yard for hours. My Doctor had told me to try light wool socks, wait, WOOL IN THE SUMMER? yup, she said they keep you cool and wick sweat away. OK, let's give it a try. Found these on Amazon and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. They are built basically for hiking but these babies are light and wool and no more redness, WHO KNEW.Best socks I own.

I’m retired USMC and I had these socks for the last three years of my career and they held up. Although for everyone and average use they have a few to many holes now. The seams in the toe rub pretty bad for a while but after the blisters have turned into calluses the seam doesn’t bother your feet anymore. All in all not that great for everyone but if you want cheap field socks that will hold up these are that.

I previously purchased a black version of these socks back in February for a trip to Scotland. I wore them everyday and they were sooooo comfortable They actually support your feet. Now I don't wear any other socks. I am in the process of cleaning out my sock drawer of all other socks.

I have been hiking and have used them in my work-boots for yard work. No bunching or binding. Reasonable pad for insulation and comfort. They are not too thick and provide reasonably good wicking and temperature control. Good day-hiking sock for a very good price. Would buy again.

These socks were perfect for hiking the highlands of Scotland in the damp early spring. No blisters, no overheating. They lasted over many miles and I would order them again.

I'm a biologist and spend many hours in the field collecting data. I ordered these as an affordable alternative to my regular hiking socks since I didn't want to wear out a $20 pair of Darn Toughs. I have abused these socks for three weeks, and they are great. They may not have as much padding as DTs, but my feet have been comfortable all season. I didn't have high expectations for the price, but this is a great value! 10/10 would buy again

The socks are fine if you do not have high expectation. It is 30% merino wool so do not expect 100%. I think for hiking purpose, it would be fine. I did washing one pair. still wearable after wash.

Comfortable and a quality sock

I just can’t understand the underrated reviews for this socks (maybe they had a bad batch or something)Tested the socks for the first time yesterday, 13.3miles hike through woods, wet grass plateaus, farmland etc. mostly dry, but had about half an hour of heavy rain. The socks are the best I ever tried, never had a better sock for hiking. Feet temperature been kept throughout, never cold and never overheated, just perfect. Quality of the material top notch.At the end of the hike, removed the boots and guess what, my feet completely dry, zero sweat. Feet smelly after 13 miles of hike? Zero. First time when I hadn’t had to chop off my nose to avoid the smell after a hike. So from me 10 stars, I couldn’t recommend them more, absolutely perfect.

I paid top dollar for great merino socks expecting ultimate comfort and they made these socks so tight that they cut your circulation, and I don't have thick legs! I can't imagine someone with thicker legs how they would feel, like a sausage.Good quality, bad design. Don't buy

Unfortunately the socks were an incorrect size. When I went to return them I found they had to be returned to the US and not Australia where I live and it wasn’t worth returning then because of the very high postage cost.
