This is a really good product for things like elodea and hornwort. You just gather some stems together and push through the hole. When the stems get a bit long you just pull them down through the hole until you are happy with the length, trim off excess and put back in tank. I find these better than the rings or metal weights. You can push them down into sand if you want to cover them up.

I am always disturbing my plants when I clean the tank once every week an it takes more of my day up because I'm having to put every plant back where it was was hoping this product would change that but I still disturb them but doesn't take as long to put them back as there already abit sorted don't need as much care to put them back an keep them in that spot while I try bury roots etc I just push it in gravel an it's back where I want the plant an some cause of the weight don't move anyway like I wanted they Look good an I haven't had a problem with having them in both my tanks ive used them on a few different plants only problem I've had is I found it difficult to put plant in hole I couldn't push through plant so had to just put root end through which is probably what you should do but found most not fitting an having to force them through hole damaging a lot of roots an leaves/ plants which was annoying but maybe there's a technique or way of doing it not sure but now there in they seem ok and useful I also liked the price for the amount as I have a lot of plants and two tanks also wasn't sure if they were gonna be useful or not so didn't want to pay a lot just in case so think these have been good for me

These are really cheap. Ideal for retaining plants in substrate when you have corys like me that are prone to digging like me. They are camouflaged, fairly well, on or near the surface on my brown substrate. Easily broken in half too.

They do the job

Holes too small can only put a couple of stems in. Expensive for what they are but I guess they do the job .

Simple. Stated as 1.5 cm internal width. It's just about 1 cm. Tiny. False advertising. Avoid.

Ich nutze die kleinen Röhrchen als Versteck für die Garnelen. Als Pflanzen Halter sind sie sicher prima, denn sie sind schwer genug und robust und die Farbe ist auch nach Wochen im Aquarium so geblieben.

I have fantail goldfish who love to dig, nibble and pull up plants. I can put a few stems into these with enough room for half a fertiliser pellet. Pop in substrate, place a few medium size pebbles for extra weight. Once fishes have eaten the plant, either cut down and grow again in another tank or, replace plants for next beating.
