Remote did not work and failed to pair so returned lamp as defective I am disabled so I needed the remote function more then most people. Shame otherwise I would have given it a good score.

The lamp works great right out of the box - the only assembly is screwing the poles together.The base is nicely wieghted so the lamp doesn't feel like it would fall over easily. A minor gripe is that the wire comes out of the pole rather than the base. Its an aesthetic thing but no big deal. The remote control is very handy as it can be changed easily without getting up, great for when you can't be bothered.It's not as bright as my old halogen lamp which it's replacing, but it's bright enough. And being able to change the colour temperature is nice so that I can switch between a bright light for reading to a warm light for relaxing. This works on the main light as well as the reading light.The build quality is quite good and it feels very sturdy when it's all screwed together, and the base is wide and heavy enough that it doesn't wobble around when you move the reading light or use the touch controls on the stem.Overall I'm very happy with this lamp and it looks nice in the corner by the sofa.

The base is also metal and heavy enough to keep the lamp upright.This light has a power of 30 watts and a brightness of 2400lm, which is very bright.There's no flicker of any sort.There are three different light temperature optionsThe controls work very well, also it's magnetic and attaches to the lamp post itself.
