Just what I needed!

Sold, well-made backpack
This pack is great, I used it for 3 days of travel and on the mountain while snowboarding. Worked great, and the padded backplate is phenomenal. Held up great!

Good but not great
I bought this for travel, not for a laptop. It's a decent backpack but it sorely lacks a quick-access outboard pocket for smaller items. The main interior compartment has a nice divider for my ipad which I really like. The secondary compartment is where I have an issue with the design: The zippers actually need a bit more friction because they unzip themselves downward too easily. The result of this is that this compartment flops all the way open WAY too easily when you have anything that has a bit of weight stored inside it. My stuff fell out a few times on my last trip when I tried to just do a quick "unzip-part-way-to-grab-my-whatever-outta-there" activity, such as grabbing an energy bar or something. It's pretty annoying.I do like the shoulder straps a lot and the feature where you can buckle them across your chest was a must-have for me. It keeps the pack in place on your back when you have to use both hands for handling luggage for long periods....or when you have to run through the airport to get to your gate on time.
