Red.and Charlie.
Just the fact we get this book and this late is truly amazing!!Well worth the wait though ...From the published 200+ books that have been published ...How many have there been worth owning??15-20??Yes, I hear groans, as it dosen't take in the Ford episode or Tex Watson's murders.Well, this it's reflexion's of 63-69 right??If that's not what you want lo read about, then look elsewhere.I'd love a further volume from Lynette. If your into the Manson case, it would be wise to buy this sooner rather than later as it will without a doubt be a sought after book when/if goes out of print.

A Fascinating Look At What Life With Charles Manson Was Really Like.
This was a fascinating and engrossing read. All those thrill-seekers who are looking for a lurid blood-drenched account of the Manson murders are going to be sorely disappointed. This book ends just before the actual arrests.Rather than an autobiography, this is exactly what it says it is on the cover - a series of reflections on life as part of the Manson family. However, it's also an overview of Lynette Fromme's philosophy/worldview - along with contributions from Manson, and particularly Sandra Good. The whole book is more like a stream of consciousness than a linear narrative, but it is, at last, the unvarnished truth.

Very interesting.
I found this book really interesting. It is very well written, the descriptions are really good that you can almost picture the scenes yourself. It's not about the murders, but more about how everyone met up and interacted with each other, although, Gary Hinman's murder is touched on and the others mentioned. The descriptions of Spahn Ranch, and how Lynette and everyone lived there sounds so nice and relaxing (with the odd hiccup). I honestly struggle to understand though how living life there (no worries, living freely, seeing the stars at night, working with the horses, etc.,) was thrown away basically by murdering innocent people. Senseless waste of a lot of lives, including the lives of those not involved in those horrendous crimes.Life could've been a whole lot different for everyone who stayed on Spahn Ranch.

Excellent description of life with the family before the murders
This book details the memories if one family member so is obviously from her perspective. Others may feel differently. However this feels like an honest and heartfelt account of life in the family and for me demonstrated that as with all things there are many different facets to a story. Unlike many other accounts if this time there is little or no sensationalism or over emphasis on the details of the horrific crimes we are all familiar with.

Thankyou Lynn
I loved this book, it really gave me a feel of what life was like for the girls. It was refreshingly different as it did not focus on the murders at all.

A surprise.
As far as I’m concerned Manson got what he deserved in the end.It is my interest in this whole era from 1966 to 1969, especially in the USA, which had me read Lynette Fromme’s “Reflexion”. Yes, I’ve read “Helter Skelter”, but that’s not about historical context; more like a lucrative ego trip for Bugliosi. Also, I think victims deserve not only justice but respect over the years.Fromme’s book is about those years before the murders. It paints a picture of a very young girl, unstable, in a society she can’t fit into. She doesn’t make excuses about those early years, just conveys what was on her troubled mind. It’s valid because there was a nation of “kids” feeling like this between the extremities of Vietnam body bags on the one hand and psychedelic music on the other; McCarthy parenting or Wavey Gravy in his Magic Bus.The book concentrates on those early times as “The Family” were coming together, or rather “groomed” off the street. We all know the horrific details of the murders, and frankly I am appalled at the availability of gruesome crime scene photos in other Manson related books. The big surprise is how well it’s written. I can see no evidence of a ghost writer (perhaps someone will correct me), so am in no doubt Fromme could have made something of herself creatively had she not been so susceptible, like others, at that age and under those circumstances.

Totally Disappointing.
Do not buy this book. It has been written by someone wearing rose coloured spectacles. This is someone who still refuses to face the truth, and is obviously still obsessed with Manson, even two years after his death. The book was published a year after his death. I have read many books by members of the family, and this is without doubt the most disappointing to date. I was looking forward to reading this book, as we are constantly told how close the author was to Manson, and it turns out to be nothing more than drivel. I wish I had kept my money.

Well written, fascinating
I love gathering info of this group from all different aspects - it has always fascinated me and aside from the killing and robbing,I would love to live the way they did - loving hippies at one with the earth. I read Bugliosi's account of what happened, Sadie's account of what happened, snippets of Charlie's account, and Lynette's, so far, has been the best written and most interesting. She was a highly intelligent little hippie!

50 Jahre danach...

A beautiful memoir.
Thank you Mrs. Fromme for gifting us with this wonderful memoir. Your words moved me. You have given authentic voice to those who have been presented by conniving interests - not least of which, yourself. It has helped dispel the bunk foisted upon us by the popular media and their money-grubbing voodoo narrative.I sincerely hope that you issue a second volume so that the whole of Reflexion can be appreciated.Love

The Real Truth
This is what really happened in those times before the mock trials began. I like the book's quality and found one grammar mistake, perhaps two. I did not read it for grammar. The fact that the words from the mouths of the people who spoke them were used is what I liked most. Very honest recount of the good, the bad, and the opinion of the person who wrote it. I am proud of her that she stepped out of the silence and spoke her truths for the world in some of the most controversial events in our history. Shedding a little light on all ideas of one man and all of one man's ideas. Thank you, squeaky. I am referring everyone who has ever sought factual information in this story to this book. It is an honest read on the subject, finally. In the end, we are all human. All is one.
