Leapfrog Beginning Reading Skills Workbook for Preschool with 60 Pages and 60 Reward Stickers (19405)

The book is working out well as a teaching tool for my 4 year old grandson. It contains the items i wanted which are consistent with that of his preschool. There is an uppercase letter and a lower case letter (dotted) to trace and extra space to try to write the letter with no dotted lines. Also the sound of the letter can be taught as there are photos to choose the ones which start with the letter featured on the page. There are also pages to learn shapes. There are stickers to use for rewarding for good work. Toward the end of the book are pages to learn the numbers and connect the dots which will be used in the future. I think we will be able to use all the pages in time. The best is the book is done in primary colors with pictures my grandson finds interesting.

I ordered this for my kindergartner, it is a great review for some words that he learned in pre-school and also on track with what he is learning in kindergarten this year. I would recommend this workbook if you are looking for extra practice at home on top of what they are learning in school.

I got this for my nephew for Christmas, he was so happy! His mother is pregnant with twins so once they come he wont be going to preschool anymore, so this will definitely keep him occupied and current with his learning progress.

My four year old son loves these books! They help him learn his letters and reinforce reading skills, as well as other skills such as colors and shapes. He has a LeapPad, and that combined with these books has really helped him.

Tiny little 7"x9" book with tracing and one activity per page. At first glance, I wasn't impressed. Before purchasing this book (along with the LeapFrog Beginning Math Skills), my 4 (almost 5) year old completed the whole LeapFrog PreSchool Skill Builder Workbook and LOVED it. It had multiple sections/"chapters" (shapes, numbers, letters, etc.) and a variety of activities on each page to practice whatever was being presented on that particular page. Not only that, but each activity was accompanied by a little icon to help him know what the instructions were, so he was largely self-sufficient. This meant we could sit side by side and each focus on our own work for a few minutes each day, with me just helping if he got stuck. It was incredibly well-thought out and engaging for him with a good amount of activities on each page.THIS book, however seemed more typical of any other workbook you can find out there. I had hoped to continue to the next step with the same type of strategies as the more robust Skill Builder book, but the instructional icons are not included and each letter is presented with a tracing and a single activity. He flies through these pages and we'll be done in 2 weeks. The material is somewhat more in depth, but not significantly so. The material towards the end is a little meatier, but the book is so short that by the time he gets to that part, it'll be time for a new book.Overall, this workbook is fine. It just doesn't set itself apart from other workbooks out there the way The LeapFrog PreSchool Skill Builder Workbook did. Its small size does lend itself to travel, so there's that!

This book is full of fun pages for kids to learn and practice what they have learned.

Delivered before due date. I love these movies! They are very educational. I've used them with all of my children and now recommend them to friends and family.
