Heavy pure white porcelain-type material
This is so much better than the listing suggested—I love it! It's super heavy. The matte porcelain-type material is unique. The pattern of the texture fits my needs perfectly. My hubby and I were married on a stormy day in January in Seattle, outside between a pair of trees we love (think cold & wet). We go back every year on our anniversary to visit our trees and the ground is always littered with branches from the recent storms. Each year, I've been picking up a branch and adding it to a vase. After 18 years, the bundle is getting quite large. I needed to upgrade my vase and wanted something large enough to hold another 18+ years! This jumbo vase will do the trick. And the pattern reminds me of a tree trunk.Key to my STAR RATINGI don't comment on price as prices fluctuate. (5⭐) An excellent product that exceeds expectations and is better than the description & photos implied. Or a good product that clearly matches the description, includes clear and correct instructions, and matches listing photos exactly. Even if low quality, if that quality was clearly implied. For example, a thin 5mil tarp should not lose stars for not being a heavy 20mil tarp if 5mil is clearly stated in the title or listing photos. I would purchase again and would recommend. (4⭐) A good product that works fine but may have arrived damaged or missing parts, missing instructions or the instructions are unclear and require extra research to assemble or use. Or an average product that matched the description but is not the value or quality implied. Might purchase again and may recommend with caveats. (3⭐) Misrepresentation but functions as expected. Does not match the description dimensions, materials. Does not match the photos. Much cheaper version than listing implied. Very likely would not purchase again and would only recommend with serious caveats. (2⭐) Functions for the most part but in ways unexpected or not how it’s supposed to, unreliable. Gross mismatch from the description or listing photos. Arrived broken at the fault of the manufacturer. Would not purchase again and would not recommend. (1⭐) Doesn’t work at all or has a terrible flaw. Dangerous or egregiously misrepresented. Incomplete. Will file complaint or demand refund.

Nicely textured ceramic vase
When this ceramic vase arrived I knew exactly how I was going to display it. With the round 4.5” opening, it is perfect for inserting 5” plastic nursery pots without fear of getting them stuck or falling through. This way I can rotate through my nursery selection whenever I feel like bringing a specimen inside for a lovely display. The textured ceramic vase is not glazed, so it retains a natural matte finish. I have not tested it for waterproof, but it’s my understanding that unglazed ceramic will weep. In my use of displaying potted plants, a little water drip shouldn’t be an issue, but I don’t think I’d recommend filling it with water for fresh cut flowers. The ceramic is not very thick, but it’s packaged well to avoid cracks or breaks during shipping. Overall, it looks very nice, and it elegantly displays my nursery pots just like I had hoped it would. Very nice item, recommended with five stars!

Not Made to Hold Water
This object (notice, did not call it a vase) is nicely crafted and will look quite snazzy -- either quaint or elegant pending what you have popping out of it -- no matter how or where you display it. The listing pics as well as those in the reviews capture how nicely the striated, bamboo-like texture presents. It's on the shorter side, not even 9 inches, but can hold its own with the right foliage/arrangement -- light, short-stalked and most likely fake or dry. Why you might ask?Well, even though they love calling the exterior pattern "waterfall" ... the irony is that water will likely fall, or leak, through this container. They describe it as having a matte white glaze, when in reality it's totally unfinished. The outside is rough-hewn and gritty to the touch ... the inside, actually leaves marks or a residue, depending on how hard you rub, from the ceramic. There is no way you can put water in here without it seeping, dripping through and eventually even messing with the structural integrity of this piece. Again, it's not glazed on the interior and altogether seems like an unfinished ceramic texture. So yeah, is nicely priced at under 20 bucks but we prefer fresh flowers ... and I highly doubt you can put those in here. Seems more for fakeys, or even those dried reeds and wild grasses as seen in the first couple pics. Or, given the round opening -- most quad vases have quad openings -- this might be best for small nursery type pots / potted plants. Though, be careful with those, if too big, tipping might be an issue ... and you might have to weight this a bit, given that its a bit slight to be that top heavy.Yes, looks nice but a little misleading and wish the listing was clearer about the actual finish and whether it was made to interact well with liquids.

Shan't be moved
I was expecting a much thinner vase, but was pleasantly surprised by the weight and quality. The exterior isn't glazed, so you can paint it without sanding (my intention). Even if you don't want to paint, the texture comes through beautifully and will easily complement most palettes in its natural matte white. The interior is completely hollow, so you can easily put in a foam block or stones to keep the arrangement in place once filled. The shape and weight of the vase will help prevent any top-heavy tipovers. Very pleased with this find!
