Gentle but slightly unusual hard-to-pin-down scent, fine mist
This is a finely atomised mist spray that I find easier to use as a perfume than as an aftershave, as with the latter I prefer the splash-it-on approach, which is quite tricky here. It also doesn’t have the biting alcohol tang of a strong aftershave, which I need after a good shave. As a perfume scent, I’m in two minds about it. It’s quite complex, and at different times I’ve reacted to it in different ways. Overall it’s quite a light fragrance, not as punchy as some, and fairly delicate (some might describe it as effeminate), but that also makes it difficult to pin down. On a good day the leathery sandalwood mixes with the floral scents to give a generally fresh impression. But sniffing it on a bad day, it can come across as oddly artificial, with a chlorine-like scent that smells like swimming pools. I’m still on the fence about whether I like it as a fragrance, but it’s certainly not a favourite. The bottle design is alright, though the gold-coloured branding ends up looking a bit cheap. The wonky hexagon profile of the bottle feels like design for design’s sake, because all perfume bottles have to be some sort of complex shape (apparently), but unlike some perfumes, this one doesn’t feel too much like a cheating way of disguising how little liquid is actually in the bottle. The cap (a non-wonky-hexagon) is a shade of green which doesn’t quite match the bottle, which doesn’t help.If I could give this fragrance three-and-a-half stars, I would. At the current asking price of seventeen quid it is worth a try, a bit, and at least it’ll be a little different from the other fragrances on your shelf. It’s not destined to be the next iconic fragrance though.

sophisticated herbal and spicy, warm, leathery, and woody; superb longevity and sillage
This fragrance turned out to be unexpectedly intricate and sophisticated. Given its £17 price tag, I initially assumed it wouldn't have much longevity or complexity. Surprisingly, it defied my expectations. The journey begins with vibrant, juicy, and almost tropical fruity notes, offering a lively and fresh introduction. Swiftly, it evolves into a clean and green herbal blend of lavender, thyme, and sage. The presence of cardamom adds a noticeable hint of spiciness and savoury undertones.Gradually, it settles into rich, sensual, and at times smoky leather-like notes, accompanied by the sweet vanilla-like essence and the creamy undertones of tonka bean.As time passes, it further develops into a deeper, woody, and smoky essence with tantalisingly sweet resinous hints. In terms of projection, the perfume strikes a happy balance between medium and strong. It has strength without being overpowering, thanks to the herby clean notes that temper the leathery, smoky scent. The sillage, or the lingering trail of scent left as you move, falls between moderate and long-lasting. Several colleagues mentioned that it leaves behind a tantalising trail, and they could catch whiffs of the fragrance as I walked past them.Regarding longevity, it impressively lingers on the skin for a solid 10 to 12 hours. In summary, this perfume offers fine quality with impressive longevity and a noticeable sillage. It opens with a burst of freshness and fruitiness, transitions into a sophisticated herbal and spicy heart, and settles into a warm, leathery, and woody base. I would unequivocally recommend it as superb value for money.

Does the job for an OK price
Fairly unobtrusive scent once it settles on your skin. By that I mean it doesn't spend the day making you overtly perfumed. The lavender element for me is a tad overpowering initially, but soon melts away. Overall, I quite like the balance. Definately a mans scent with the wood base notes, but then there's a bit of citrus in there too to add some excitment. Overall, for the bottle size I'll say this is decent value. It's not my favourite, but I can for sure wear it happily.

Beautifully presented, lasting scent.
Okay, perfumes etc are entirely subjective and so rating them is tricky. I therefore won't rate this by how much I like the aroma, but I will try to describe it.As a product, this is very nicely presented and would make a nice little gift. The scent lasts for a long while and I would say that this is well worth the price at the time of writing (about £17).For me, though, I'm not overly keen on the fragrance. On initial spray the scent is overly sweet to me - and a sugary sweet, not a floral sweet at that. A kind of overly-sugared artificial lavender. The sweetness does settle down a touch after a short while but not enough for me to think of this scent as 'woody' or 'spicy' - which is a shame as I love sandalwood and the like and so I was hoping those notes would be further forward. I think the best way I could describe this is like Old Spice, but with the exotic notes removed and replaced with candyfloss. Not for me. But it might be for you - and it IS a decent product if the scent sits well on you.
