Q: Does this dish soap contain lye?

Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your question. While all real soap must be made with lye (sodium hydroxide), no lye remains in our finished products as the lye is used up in the saponification process (cold process) to turn oil into soap. Then our soaps are cured for 1000 hours (approximately 6 weeks) which creates harder and milder bars that last longer. Our products are tested and confirmed not containing any harmful chemicals by YS Institute of Environmental Technology which is the major testing authority in Korea to certify RoHS(Restriction of Hazardous Substances) complaint. Q: About how long does this product last?

Thank you for your question! It really depends on how often you use it and how greasy and sticky the dishes are. On average, I would say, the soap lasts up to 30 to 50 washes. We have improved our recipe so that it leathers well with a small amount of soap. If you use a soft dish sponge rather than a stiff dish brush or scrubber, it will last a lot longer. Please allow it to dry well after each use so that the soap lasts longer. That is why we have included the little loofah slice to hold your soap.
