The best harp I’ve ever owned
It’s comfortable, absolutely sounds amazing, I honestly did not expect much from Eastrock but this harp was has my vote. I’ve got several high dollar harps that absolutely pale in comparison.

Suzuki promaster comparable
I play exclusively suzuki promaster and hammond aluminum comb harmonicas in all keys. Saw this model and took a chance. It is almost indistinguishable from the suzuki brand and plays just as well. Would be interested in getting more keys than C when available. Recommend as primary or backup harmonica.

Killer sound, clunky ergonomics
Wow! These MIA harps are killing it! I've been playing since the 80's, and THIS is the golden age right now! EastROCK is different from eastTOP, and this is the eastrock. I'm not sure who's confusing who. I mostly play hohner, tombo/lee oskar, and suzuki, ( no, I find seydel a little stiff.) so I know what good and bad sound like. This is an interesting character - it's clearly based on suzuki models - it has the shape of an ultrabend combined with the construction of a promaster. From their own pictures, it looks really big and blocky, but in person it isn't, really. You can see in these pics it's a little thicker in the front, while a promaster is thicker in the back. The anodizing has more texture on brand 'S' Now, one of the things I like about a metal comb harp with thick reeds is that you get a really strong TONE, and a hint of sustain - the reeds are still vibrating an instant after you stop blowing. The reeds are a fraction thicker on this eastrock model, and yet it doesn't sustain as long as the promaster. The great sound is there though! The individual holes are slightly larger too, though it didn't seem any louder. The drawback on these designs is - it takes a little more air/effort to play them. Some might say they have a better sound but are less responsive - so if your kind of playing is something akin to 'whammerjammer' you'd probably be better served by a plastic comb with thinner reeds. It's impressive that they came up with something so good. My only reservations about this model would be - having the thicker end by your mouth makes it harder for me to play. Someone else may find this an advantage. And the price isn't much less - maybe 10% that the leading brand that inspired it. There is no denying, however that this is a well made harmonica with a gorgeous sound. I'd of course also like to see keys, harmonic minor, and richter tunings available for ANY new harmonicas that come along.

I sound great for a beginner
The media could not be loaded. I bought my husband a harmonica and it is so intriguing as an instrument. This harmonica makes notes when you breathe in and out of it. It comes with instructions but if you don't really read music notes, you will get kinda stumped. I love musical instruments and I have an acoustic guitar and harmonicas are a perfect partner. You can even use a harmonica to tune a guitar. The instructions let me know that! This is a heavy-duty harmonica. It comes with a hard shell protective case and a polished cloth. Believe me, you need it, to not show all the fingerprints. This is a great little noise maker if you can't play and a great music maker if you can. Glad I could add it to my one-woman band collection.
