Very practical wide vice
The Good:-Heavy steel construction-Comes with huge mounting bolts-Comes with soft jaw covers-Quick slide buttonThe OK:-Is a bottom grabbing vice (sometimes it’s nice to have taller jaws for flexible grip options)-Single rod movement (you can get a more stabile vice with multiple rods)The Bad:-NothingIf you’re looking for a great value heavy duty vice this thing might be your answer. Made of heavy tool steel and comes with very large mounting bolts for power tool use. Provides a quick release/slide button and soft covers for the jaws. Some people might benefit from a taller jaw option but the lower grip vices are great for most applications. It only offers single rod movement so you don’t get the added stability of multiple rods but clamped down I didn’t have any issues with movement. I think this vice is as good as 90% of them on the market and even offers a little more with the quick movement button.

Stout vise with nice quick adjust feature.
This is now my favorite vise to use with my drill press or to just hold items I need to solder or weld as it’s heavy and stable. The quick release knob is very nice to have as it bypasses the need to turn the screw handle so much.- Max jaw opening is 4.25"- Jaw width is 4.25" and height is 1".- Jaw protector pads with 3 magnets on the back of each are included. They hold as well as any others I have owned.- Vise weighed 6.49 lbs on my kitchen scale. I like its heft and stability. It ships with 4 bolts, each 2" long, with nuts and washers to be used for securing to a bench top or board, which may or may not be the correct length. They are Grade 8.8 which is metric and converts to a grade 5 here in the U.S. They are either M13 or M14 bolts. My caliper measured them at 13.5mm diameter, so just a hair over .5 inches.I thought the hammered finish looked nice and has proven to be surprisingly durable so far. The vise I had been using was half the size of this one. This has now become my primary vise to use with my drill press and other jobs it can handle much better than the smaller one ever could. I’m perfectly satisfied with the vise so far. The only thing I wish it had that my smaller vise does is a vertical V notch in the jaws near the center to better hold round rods. Still a 5 star tool for me though.

Rough edges but a very solid vise.
This drill press vice is surprisingly well made for the price. The casting showed no real signs of flex or otherwise when in use, and holds parts firm within the jaws.It came with both soft and hard jaws allowing you to hold a wide variety of parts and attaching the soft jaws is as easy as it comes. One thing I will note is that it's best to take the time to clean up any sharp edges of this vise prior to use to prevent both harm to yourself and marring any parts you are using this with. All in all a good quality drill press vise.

Holds fast
This was lighter than expected. The base is ground flat so it's easy to slide around and get into the correct position before bolting it down. Nuts and bolts are included to fasten it down to your drill press table. The machined surfaces are a little rough, so don't expect the precision of a Kurt vise, but this also costs significantly less. The jaws still close smoothly enough. The best feature is the quick set/release button. Press it to allow you to quickly move the back jaw backwards or forwards directly to where you want. The return spring is stiff and you're unlikely to disengage the jaw accidentally. They also included magnetic soft jaws, which are a big benefit to me, as I often work on finished parts and consider tool marks to be marks of shame. The soft jaws, but even more, the quick set/release, really make this vise especially useful.

Great value
This is a great value and is an excellent beginner vise for your DIY projects. This vise comes with all the hardware to install the vise into your workbench such as the bolts. Another feature I like is the jaw protection sleeves that helps protect objects that you are working on. When using the sleeves there won't be metal on metal contact.

The Quick Release Button Is A Time Saver
The vise appears to be well made. It is a cast metal design; however, the critical edges have been properly machined. The worm drive turns freely with minimal slop inside the vise body. The quick release button is a huge time saver and positively locks again when released. I have seen a lot of these fail due to the button not snapping back into place to allow the threads to engage again. This vise doesn't seem to have that problem. The jaws are deeply textured to prevent slipping of the work material. The plastic non-marring jaw covers are held in place by magnetic attraction rather than a friction fit, this makes them susceptible to sliding back and forth. This vise also comes with four, pretty hefty, nut/bolt mounting hardware.

Solid, Smooth Performance
This isn't a terribly complex item so there isn't much to really review. Overall the metal is solid and appears well machined. The function of the vise is smooth without any jamming or hangups, indicating the machining of the screw is well done. The kit includes the necessary hardware to mount this on a workbench as well, and the wide mount points allow a degree of versatility where this can be changed out with other benchtop vises that usually have four fixed points. The advantage of this is you don't have to have two sets of mounts or take up more benchtop space; an excellent inclusion in the design of this product.

Heavy duty vice
This vice looks great. The machining is nice. The threads are cut cleanly down the entire length. It includes plastic jaw covers (for clamping delicate items) that are held on with strong magnets. They work quite well actually. There's a quick release so the jaws can be quickly opened or closed. Large bolts are included to bolt it down.
