Nice thermoelectric stove fan
This fan works well and starts running within a minute after being placed on top of a hot stove. The fan puts out a gentle breeze that can be felt from a couple feet away. It runs very quietly. The underside of the base of the fan has a bimetallic strip that curls downwards when hot. The purpose is to function as a protective device that will slightly lift the base of the fan away from contact with the stove top when the temperature gets too hot, reducing heat conduction into the fan base. The fan would be a great decorative and entertaining addition to a wood stove.

Works as advertised... not as I imagined
The JIMBON Wood Stove Fan is exactly as advertised. It is silent, heat powered, and non electric. The fan comes packaged with a styrofoam base and top to ensure that you are getting a product delivered safely. It has a small handle on top which can be used to place the fan on your stove. Once on the stove, it took a while to begin to spin. Yet, within 2 min, it was a full speed silent, heat powered, non electric fan.I had imagined something different when I ordered the JIMBON Wood Stove Fan. If you look at the fourth photo in the product advertisement, the one with the fan on the stove and a woman sipping a warm drink, the fan appears to be 1/2 the size of the stove. In reality, it is narrower and shorter than a piece of paper is wide and tall. The fans spin away as it reacts to the heat. However, when I put my hand in front of the fan, I don't feel the heat being blown by the fan. It is not practical at moving the air as I imagined it would.The product details end with the sentence, "A perfect decoration for your Fireplace". I got a fireplace decorative fan. I was imagining a fireplace fan which moved the air throughout the room.It stopped working after about 6 weeks and has never worked since .....
