Works great for training your dog

These leashes look to be pretty durable to me. I may be using them on a pretty small (small-medium) dog, but that small dog loves to tug and pull and attempt to jump fences when you aren't looking. Some collars just don't work because he can easily manuever and break free, but this you can adjust pretty well to the perfect size and have the leash immediately attached. Already attached to this.

Really like nice to hold

This is a somewhat unusual lightweight slip lead. It is a little thinner than the typical rope leash. [But see below] My first impression was that it was likely to break under pressure of a larger dog or wear out quickly. I see the manufacturer says it is made of climbing rope that will hold 800 plus lbs. That sounds promising! I wonder how many pounds of pull a lunging large dog exerts? How much force will the stitching on the handle take? If it holds up, it has very nice qualities for a good price.This lead is made of some sort of slippery synthetic braided material around a core, so the outside of the braid moves a little. The leash has little stretch and give when the dog pulls, similar to a soft leather leash. It is quite light for a rope style slip leash. There is thin neoprene padding sewn around the handle, which is very comfortable on the hand. This handle covering is thin, soft and flexible, creating the impression it may tear in time, but is is nice now.A slip lead like this is convenient in situations where one is frequently slipping on and taking off the leash, such as for agility training or off-leash area access. I had one of another brand that I lost on the beach, and I have missed it. This comes in a two pack. I ordered this because I wanted one and wanted to give one to my son who frequently forgets to put a collar on his large dog before taking the dog out in the truck. He then asks me if I have an extra collar! I am running out of collars.A nice feature of this leash is it's light weight and flexibility, making it easier than the typical rope lead to carry in a coat pocket. This is a great feature, as this sort of lead spends a fair amount of time in the pocket or tied around my waist. I will probably update my review after further use.Update: I have gone back and looked at the description: I see this comes in two thicknesses. I wonder if I ordered the thinner leash. I can't tell from the order. I recommend if you have a large dog, go for the thicker leash as the manufacturer recommends. So far my son's girlfriend loves the light lead even on their very large dog.Second update: I love this leash because it is so light, slick and a bit stretchy. It goes on and off very quickly, and is very easy to carry. For the price, this is a good leash. The only concern is if it breaks under pressure. With a medium dog for short periods of leashing I am not particularly worried about this. I am really enjoying this leash.
