The gateway provided can work in the 2.4 or 5 GHz but if you want to use 5 GHz you have to contact the company themselves. Other than that, it’s a great product and the gateway is like the middleman but also to get your safe on the internet. Set up was easy. It’s connected to my Starlink router, And works great. Also has motion sensor so you if you move it slightly, it will detect it and send a notification and also set an alarm off. Overall a very good product. Worth every cent. Thanks!!!

I was looking for a solution to help my 96 years old Mom to avoid agitation and panic attack that she is losing money or other valuables or they are stolen. A safe came as possible solution. I bought a $59 best buy safe from Amazon and it had a few problems for me: my Mom could not hit small keys on keypad with her fingernails and she was forgetting the passcode and what does it mean to close the safe. The passcode was on a sticker next to the safe which beats the purpose.Next iteration came to the safe with a shelf I am reviewing because it has remote wi-fi access and it was not required to remember passcode when under stress (I could open safe remotely).I was surprised to find that the safe has bigger keys which my Mom did not have problems to press.I cannot comment on complexity of the wi-fi installation, I am from IT systems administration, so it comes to you pressing all the buttons, and it works at the end. I do sent a few emails to the manufacture for clarifications which were responded right away. The safe does come with a manual and video.Trying to tune solution for my Mom I bounced ideas with the manufacture and was surprised with willingness to understand the concerns and look for possible solutions.After two month of usage of the safe, I consider the solution a big success.I almost never opened the safe remotely, it was not required (I do test time to time), but it was and is a big psychological factor.For example, yesterday my Mom called me that she wanted to count money and the safe did not open. I asked her to stand next to the safe anticipating an easy victory. No, it did not help. I asked her to talk to the helper next to her, and it turned out she was trying to open a printer and not the safe. She did not have problems with the safe.Never during these two months she brought up topic that money are stolen. And everybody maintains the concept that valuables are and should be in the safe and it is a first place to check. And if item is not in the safe - it is not a valuables.

Safe walls are no thicker than a locking file cabinet, and there's no zero (0) on the keypad! Poor quality item not worth the price.
