Awesome reels and build quality for the money!
Another review from Mckenley Johnson had an issue with his reel handle not fitting properly!I had the samething happen on my 6000 size, but after looking closer I noticed the insert in the handle screw wasn't pushed in far enough to allow it to connect to the reel body! I pushed it in a screwed the handle right in properly!I have 4k - 8k and will use 30lb - 60lb braided line! I noticed on the 4k and 5k there's a one piece cap opposite the handle! On the 6k and 8k the cap is two pieces, and you have to keep an eye on this, so it doesn't come loose and fall off the reels!I've contacted Piscifun about this issue and they might be putting a one piece cap on the 6k and 8k moving forward only time will tell!Piscifun did tell me these reels won't leak, so we'll see once their put to the test! These reels are the replacement for the Alloy X spinning reels which I have as well and totally love!I will update my post once I hit some saltwater with pics, and maybe videos as well!I would definitely recommend them at present!Bertram Davis

Amazing budget reel
Solid feeling reel, smooth drag, smooth action, and amazing value for the price. When you start using this reel it quickly begins to feel like a $130 reel and you’re getting great materials for an affordable price. I have the 6000 size and it’s comparable to penn’s 5000 size and shimano’s 6000 if you’re wondering

Small but Mighty!
We just received the reel yesterday and tested it out the same day. My husband caught a 35” Snook using the reel! Too big to keep so it had to go back in the water. So far he is happy with it and I’m happy too so I ordered another one for me. The rod is only rated for 10-12lbs. And the reel Piscifun 8000 is rated up to 18lbs mono but my husband put 20lbs line with about 240 yards. The inlet is narrow even when the fish make a run there’s plenty of line for it. Great stuff! Great buy! Great fishing!

Great Deal for ~$50
Just got the 6000 today, so can't comment on durability. I will say it feels well made & bearings are smooth... Beware that (w/mine at least) the screw-in handle had to be forced a little. Initially I thought I was cross-threading the handle, but I realized it just didn't want to go, so I forced it harder than most people would & once it turned ~1/4 rotation that resistance disappeared & it screwed in smooth & tightened up nicely. The 6000 is the perfect size for the Goofish PE3-6 Spinning Rod... Pretty sure this Combo will handle large sea critters...

Solid for the price
Captain 8000 - For the price, it meets my expectations. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but seems solid and smooth but a bit on the heavy side as compared to my higher priced reels but that's to be expected as well.

Great reel
My favorite reel is the Penn Conflict II 3000, until now. I now own 3 Captain Reels in sizes 2000, 3000 and 4000. I put it at the same level as the Penn. The bail snaps tight, operation is smooth and there is absolutely no wobble on the retrieve. I fish at least twice a week and use the captain on each outing. I would certainly buy the Captain again.

Drag knob fell off
On my very first use I loosened the drag and the knob used to adjust the drag fell off. It fell off. I fell the F off into the ocean. The nut holding the spool on remained in place, but the cap and clips fell off rendering this reel useless. Not the quality I'd hoped to get from this brand. For roughly the same price you can buy the Pursuit IV from a reliable brand. I wanted to like this brand, but unfortunately my first experience will be my last.

Decent feeling reel but clicker broke first time out
The reel felt good up until I was trying to pop out a snag and the clicker broke on my very first Day out. Was fishing steelhead in Canada and it was about -2 Celsius so maybe these reels aren’t built for any cold weather fishing. I had orderd 2 and returned both after this.
