Well made and sounds great. A budget Klon clone that delivers.

TL;DR - Sounds good. Well made.I don't have a Klon Centaur to compare this with (and if I did I'd have sold it to pay off the mortgage) so don't know how accurately this pedal actually captures "that" sound - there's a few videos on YouTube (notably on the JHS Pedals channel) - and consensus seems to be this is pretty close.I've been playing with it for a few days and it sounds amazing to me. There's a good amount of volume boost available and it'll go from a lovely, warm just-breaking up to a decent amount of overdrive. Stacks well with other overdrives, I've tried it with a TS-type and an old Marshall Drive Master in various configurations and haven't found a bad sound yet.Pedal construction seems pretty sturdy, although despite the shiny chromeness of them the knobs are plastic. LED lighting around the front of the pedal is very cool. The LED can be set to permanently on, off or on when pedal is active - imagine that having on permanently would be helpful in live situation.

I had previously purchased the Joyo Aquarius and wanted a dedicated o/d to boost the signal. The Tauren does this for me. Simple controls, dial it in to get your desired effect and away you go. Of course there are many pedals which one could use but with these Joyo pedals, as long as you have a good PSU, there's no concern over batteries as there is no provision for one, and the ambient led lighting is a bonus.
