The lid has such a good seal that it causes two problems.1) When there's soap in the jar it's difficult to push the lid flush with the ceramic because of the air pressure forcing the lid to not fully close.2) Without soap, the lid is pretty difficult to get out because of the vacuum pressure it starts to create. With soap, the lid is very difficult to pull out because of the increased pressure created in the small space leftover.I'm tempted to drill a hidden hole to relieve the lid pressure so I can open and close it freely without issue. However if I do that, any water that gets into the lid will run straight into the soap bottle.Another con as noted above: water collects inside of the lid. That's gross. If it was a solid hollow piece I wouldn't have to worry about that.Basically, a lot of cons due to it's design. It's easier to clean that most soup bottles. But also requires more cleaning because of the water that gets trapped.Looks nice though.

I can't close it after putting the liquid soap. I don't have time to return it and I don’t have the original box to do it. I not recommend this product. :(
