REMOS Hand Brush "Craftsman" made of local beech wood with nylon bristles

I'm on a plastic-free mission, and the bathroom is my latest project! I wanted a real wood nail brush that would last and that had natural bristles. From my research this brush fitted the bill perfectly - and I'm advised that boar bristles are cruelty-free which was another important factor. Yes it is expensive, but I like the fact that it is entirely manufactured in Germany. It arrived today and is beautiful (see attached pictures). The brush is VERY firm but leaves my nails feeling satisfyingly clean. It's too soon to see how it will last so I may well add to this review in a few months time! Another reviewer pointed out that the 'Wildschweinborste' sticker was wonky, and mine was no exception, however to fulfil my OCD I have simply removed the sticker! (I don't think the sticker is designed to stay on permanently anyway)

Looking for decent nail brush for years. This seems to fit the bill. Still, time will tell if it lasts, but reading other reviews I have decided to let it dry out quickly after use, as I imagine this will preserve it. Just need to use common sense. Well worth the extra few quid. You can easily pay a fiver for rubbish.September 2017 I have owned this brush now for 15 months. It is nothing short of brilliant. Makes all the cheap things from your local pharmacy or pound shop totally redundant. If you are a gardener or DIY'er as I am, you will find this invaluable. As it is well made and the wood is cut true square, it will stand on its end on my utility draining board, and drains and dries out quickly. The boar bristles do not cave in after a few uses. Mine's still as good as new. There 'aint too many products sold under a tenner that are as good as this.if you are looking for a decent nail brush, get this one.I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

I guess I might have liked this too much, great product and neat size, good quality, with a nice feel when used on my nails but also as a beard brush. However, after a week or so it had a huge crack down the handle. I was a bit disappointed, I hope this us unusual and other people would mostly be satisfied

Pros: Good stiff bristles, pleasant looking handle in natural wood, good size that fits the hand. Cons: A few bristles began to fall out on the first day but that may be limited to first use only. Update 17th March 2019: it has remained in good shape after almost daily use. No shedding of bristles after a few weeks. I make sure it dries out well after use, bristles pointing downwards. The wood handle became slightly split on the ends but doesn't affect integrity of the handle. Bristles remained stiff. I would buy again. I've increased star rating to 5.

The fact that our Germanic friends can continue to produce reliably better quality stuff is very endearing. I don't mind forking out the extra money for something actually worth buying instead of perpetuating the false economy of acquiring cheap and inferior items that last for the barest minimum of uses. This hand/nail brush is very good, being manufactured to endure it's designated function and not disintegrate after only a few bouts of tough scrubbing. It should survive many heavy duty uses and I am delighted that something of this quality still exists. I did read an adverse review about the bristles not smelling nice but they're there for the removal of grot from your hands and fingernails, not to please the aesthetic whimsies of the olfactory senses.Eamonn

Good quality feel to the brush. Bristles are short and stiff and they are very effective for cleaning oily hands.But the plant bristles seem to be giving off an unpleasant smell (with a hint of stale sweat). It is not very strong and I'm hoping it will wear off. Disappointing for the price.

This is the best nail brush I have ever bought and has lasted ages so far. The bristles are short and very stiff and ideal for my husband to clean his hands after doing practical work. Will definitely buy again when this one has worn out - no sign of that so far!

This brush looks and feels premium, is made in Germany and is designed for some pretty serious nail and hand cleaning!Bristle area is much larger than a typical nail brush and the bristles are shorter and much stiffer. Ideal for cleaning off serious grime.Should last a long time and if so is well worth the money. I will update the review if anything changes or if the brush does not last as long as expected.UPDATE - July 2018Been using this now regularly for over three years and it still works great. Has lost very few bristles, they are sill stiff and strong. The writing on it has faded but otherwise good as new. Wood has not split. Very happy with it.Shame there isn't a manufacturer in the UK makes something like this!UPDATE: November 2021Well despite the great success and initial 5 star review above, I eventaully bought a replacement and it split wide open within a few weeks. Hmm, maybe just bad luck. After all, the grain direction of the wood might be better or worse. I just ordered another. That one also split open on day two of use. I returned that for a replacement and the replacement has also split open after a few days.So, 3 out of the 4 of these I have had have split open and cracked badly after almost no use.I am getting bored of this now and will switch back to the Kent nail brush. Bristles on that are not as rigid but the wood is a more sensible shape and is treated to avoid splitting open.The shape of this wood is an issue I think. It is such a wide, flat section that it really wants to curl up and split open with any moisture. They should be taller, more square. The wood should be treated to preserve it.

Calidad, elegancia y eficacia

Ich arbeite viel im Garten und kann mich einfach nicht mit Handschuhen anfreunde. Da brauche ich eine vernünftige Reinigungsbürste für Hände und Nägel. Die Bürste ist robust und tut was sie soll. Vorsicht bei den Nägeln. Für die empfindlichen Nagelhäute ist sie zu fest.

Hace años que tenemos el mismo con pelo de jabalí que sigue como nuevo, pero quería probar este de fibras vegetales para otro baño. La verdad es que tan bueno como el otro. Al principio, como en la mayoría de cepillos, se pierden algunas cerdas, pero no queda pelado y al poco tiempo dejan de caerse y queda asentado. Entiendo que para algunas personas les resulte demasiado rígido o duro, pero para mí que con cocina, el jardín y otras manualidades se me ensucian las uñas con los de cerdas más largas tardo una eternidad en limpiar bien la suciedad, en cambio con estos unas pocas pasadas y como si ni me hubiese ensuciado. Muy recomendables para lo que es, para "artesanos" o personas que se ensucian las uñas con sus actividades. Importante dejarlos secar siempre algo elevados o de lado para que la madera no se agriete, aunque no he tenido problema con estos, quizás por tener esta precaución siempre.

Finalmente una spazzola mani/unghie di qualità. L'impugnatura in legno è ergonomica, piacevole al tatto (al contrario della plasticaccia).Le setole in nylon sono sufficientemente rigide per poter essere efficaci nella rimozione di residui sottounghia. Le dimensioni permettono di agire contemporaneamente anche su tutte le dita. Offre una sensazione di durevolezza. Sgradevole, come spesso accade, le traduzioni in Inglese (ovviamente giusto), tedesco (ok essendo prodotto austriaco) francese, spagnolo. L'italiano snobbato.

De los mejores que he tenido, la cerda es corta y recia, quizás algo molesta si no vas despacio pero con tranquilidad deja las uñas muy limpias, incluso si has andado con tierra u otros productos similares ya que su firmeza le permite no doblarse y llegar a todos los rincones entre la uña y la carne.con respecto a que la madera se abra o agriete no he tenido aún problemas al menos durante el mes que la llevo usando, uso las recomendaciones, secar la superficie de madera y dejarla boca abajo para que los restos de agua desaparezcan.Completamente recomendable, la volvería a comprar.Además, es muy bonita y elegante.
